OK smart asses, what I was particularly trying to get rid of is temp files. Not so much history. As i'm sure anyone who knows much about temp files, you have to be pretty specific to actually erase them from your computer. So, yeah, I know how to not save "history".
Anyway, like I said, I figured it out. Just didn't want you to think I didn't know how to look through tools menus.
What are some of the better history cleaners?

The surest way to clean up the "history" of any program is to search for relevant terms on your harddisk and in the registry. Then you'll know where any URLs or temp files are kept and can remove them manually. And you won't necessarily have to empty out EVERY URL just to get rid of one of them.
For instance, let's say I want to hide the fact that I ever saw this thread. So I search my drive for shmups.system11.org. First hit is the swap file, no need to worry about that unless you expect 1337 haxxorz to be after you (in which case you better search the drive with a sector editor to be sure that data is actually gone and not just deleted from the file system) or the government (consider doing multiple overwrites with random data). Next hit is NTUSER.DAT which is part of the registry, so I'd search with regedit and then delete the values where it appears. Aside from that are some emails and several files in my Opera directory. Edit/delete as needed. To make sure I got all the temp files I could do a search according to the date/time window that I was here. That reveals a bunch of files in the cache4 directory.
One potential problem is if an application stores its strings in unicode, then you won't find them with Windows search (unless they changed this in the newer incarnations) so it's good to have something like Roadkil's sector editor so you can enter search strings in hex.
