Since XB360 will have a 5 month + headstart in Western regions over the Japanese release of PS3, do you think its worthwhile PS3 releasing in the West first?
I think Sony are playing a losing battle if they don't. Unless it is infinitily more powerful people will just keep their XB360's surely.
Should PS3 release in the West first?

This industry has become 2 dimensional as it transcended into a 3D world.

If they have launch titles that will appeal to western audiences ready, yes. If not, no. The PS3 might be highly anticipated, but they need highlight games to move it. If the PS2 had launched in the US with the same lineup as the Japanese launch... things would not have been pretty. The Japanese launch lineup was terrible. (It didn't stop me from buying one for some dumb reason though... it cost me like $600, and what did I get for it? Fantavision? Oh goody.

I bought mine for 700 pounds when I lived in the UK. Thats more than double what you paid
Well as far as I can tell Sony are going to struggle on this next generation stuff. 3 players in the industry just means they are taking from each other, the industry is not getting bigger anymore.
