Seriously, if Pizza Hut is your Gold Standard for pizza, you *absolutely* need to get out more. I can eat PH if I have to...it's not toxic or anything, but take it from a professed foodie: PH is a far, far, *far* cry from good pizza. Heck, in the Detroit area alone, there are numerous places that serve an pie monumentally superior to anything that PH could ever *hope* to offer, in their wildest, wettest dreams.

Depending on the style of 'za that you prefer, I could probably point you in a good direction for your area, depending on where you live. But if you consider PH to be great, please believe me when I tell you that there is a whole stinking world of far better pizza for you to explore, and you're missing out.

This is where I buy my pizza, Caspian Pizza makes the best pizza's I usually have Chicken Tuna and Donner Kebab on mine with Caspian sauce poured onto the pizza in a ring style.

I never said it was the gold standard, but they do make a pretty nice pie.

If there's one place I miss like hell, it's Bro. Bruno's [on 611? 940? I don't remember] in Mt. Pocono, PA. They had this one slice with these delicious blocks of soft white cheese, oh man. That was my gold standard for pizza.

Of course, now I'm in Florida. I go to Scarfone's for pizza. A bit expensive, but really, really nice. I haven't even seen a Pizza Hut around here.

If you go to a Japanese Pizza Hut joint, you can order a speciality pizza called the "Idaho Special". It has a bunch of wacky toppings and even includes mayo topping as well.

I'm in Chicago, so of course I rock a deep dish pizza.

However, I love pizza of all types. If it's thin crust, a good choice is jalapenos and pineapple. A delicious mixture of spicy and sweet.

Hell yeah man, surprised no one ever turned you onto that before. I'll admit I didn't really care for it at first though, may be somewhat of an acquired taste. Depends how much ranch you use on anything else. Now I have ranch with everything, specially burger and fries.

I like many "standard" topings. No pineapple & ham for me, no anchovies or olives, none of this chicken ranch crap, either. I do like chicken on pizza, though. My favorite standard types are supreme and taco. My personal concoction is chicken, pepperoni, and jalapenos (from Pizza Hut) - I call it "Dragon Fire Pizza". It rules.
