If someone localized Deathsmiles, Futari or Galuda II, would it really only cost $20? And if not, would it pull in the kind of numbers required to be profitable? These are difficult questions to answer for any potential publisher.
I brought it up the first time adversity1 mentioned it. I didn't feel like bringing it up again.

Can we just complain about how the scoring system is going to have 90% of the forum drop it after a week.
That's funny cos it's true.
I read these anticipation threads with amusement when I'm thinking how hard the game will kick everyone's asses.
Still, I'm sure Cave will include some kiddie modes which will probably be plenty of fun for everyone.
Good thing the only game I really play for score is DS. I play Galuda for score, but only to top my own pathetic scores. Low standards = less frustration.

That's exactly what it is. If you want a Strike Witches game that has more action in it, I think you'd be better off waiting for the 360 game that's being made.
Gonna pre-order this as soon as I put money in my account. I'm getting the standard edition because I think the cover looks a lot cooler, and that SE faceplate is kinda lame
ED: Also if anybody could scan that ESPGaluda II Edge preview I'd appreciate it/love you forever. I think that Edge is a UK magazine, and I think that when we do get it over here it's already been out for a month. Pretty sure I could get it, but it'd take a long time. Also I myself have no scanner.

do you have any confirmation of this?
...so far i've only heard speculation. PA lists it as "Action" not "Adventure".

Every Japanese site I've looked at so far describes it as just "adventure". But maybe there are some action parts. For some reason, there doesn't seem to be a lot of specific info about the game right now.
Asada's blog has been updated. There's going to be 5 tutorials for the 2 novice modes (novice: original and black label). This isn't covering the core games (original and BL in arcade format and 360 format), Yagawa's arrange or IKD's arrange mode.

There was also a preview in the most recent Famitsu magazine, if you watch the Inside Xbox videos with a Japanese Live account, every week they have one of the guys who writes for Famitsu 360 come on the show and talk about what's in this month's magazine, so on a couple weeks ago, all 3 of the people on the show (including the lovely Hikari <3<3) start talking about it for the last 2 minutes of the show and they show the article in the magazine. If you go to the backlog of videos and look for the @INSTA vol. 1 where Hikari has a blue and white striped shirt on, that's the one.
But the article is still good for the pictures, I suppose. I wonder how much a UK article about a shmup could really tell you that you can't already find out already, or is there something specific that you're looking for out of the article?

dunno. I figure it might have some tidbits that I'd like to know.

I really try to like it, but i just don't.
Is it the scoring system you have a problem with?
Scoring is a problem as well. But i just can't point my finger at my particular problem with the game.
I just dont have much fun playing it, "the fun" just breaks through in a few short sections. (like the big boat just before the 2nd boss)
Granted, i dont play much in this zenbudokaitenkaichikungfukartekakusei mode and that could be the problem...
