Exactly. Where's Morrigan? Not interested otherwise.

I love Psikyo and I love Gunbird (both games) but like someone already mentioned, the PSP version of Strikers 1945 PLUS was a total balls up, one of the worst shooters out there and a disgrace to the originals. I think I'll be skipping this one

It's just not Morrigan without the gratuitous cleavage.

Terrible art. And someone's had implants, apparently.

Still, Gunbird 2 is a great game. I'll probably get it on the cheap.

I guess they're too dumb to realize Morrigan was added as a bonus to the Dreamcast version, because Capcom ported it. It would be fucking hilarious if they released this shitty port with Morrigan in it, and Capcom proceeded to sue their balls off.

Yeah. I like the look of it so far.Though what a strange game to remake! I suppose it was one of the few localized shmups of the past 10 years. What else are they going to remake that already has a western fanbase?

This may actually trump the Vandal Hearts remake.

(searches web) Found it:

Not sure why anyone thinks these games need a "Saturday Morning Cartoons" makeover.

You people who don't like Gunbird 2 are literally communists.

This remake is not looking at all promising though.

Agreed on both counts.

Seeing this made me want to give that Dreamcast disc a hug.

I agree with the second count but must object to your decidedly non-literal use of "literally" [pushes up glasses].

I believe they may in fact hate money (picking up gold coins) and fighting pirates (who of course being thieves undermine the glorious capitalist system).

The Vandal Hearts remake is probably more of a stain on the original, though. It's not like Gunbird 2 has much artistic merit to begin with. It's one of my favorite shooters, but that's in spite of how it looks. It's like a cute-em-up that's in no way cute. That could be interesting, but it's not in this case.

PSP is currently my favorite gaming system and Gunbird 2 is one of my favorite games, but I really have no interest in putting the two together. Gunbird 2 is difficult enough on a 20" tated screen. Why would I want to make things more difficult?

Originals? Isn't this just a straight-up port of Strikers Plus? I've played it for about a half-hour and it seemed perfectly fine to me. Again, it's better suited to a bigger screen for the simple reason that the game is super difficult, and being able to see everything clearly is imperative.

What do I care about character screens? They look hideous, yeah, but for me it's all about gameplay and in-game graphics. That's the most important thing in a shooter, dammit.

If you're up for a good headache, you should check out the Darkstalkers cartoon some time.

Sorry, I should have been clearer, by the originals I meant Strikers 1945 and Strikers 1945 Pt II. Unfortunately I never got to play PLUS anywhere until it came out on the PSP. The lack of options in the PSP version means practice is almost impossible. The difficulty is ridiculously hard IMO and that's from someone that has 1CCed most Psikyo games over the years. Or at least the ones I own.

those character designs seriously look like a bad deviantart project.

Marion is a fucking butterface now.

PM studios has a lot of fans thanks to the DJMAX localizations. You can bet a good portion of that fanbase also think this is shit.
