What are some of the better history cleaners?
I'm specifically looking for ones that will delete ALL Firefox history. I have CCleaner, but I don't feel as if it's really doing all it shoud be. Ace Utilities was great, but doesn't get updated anymore.
Well?
Well?

Best thing to do is tell your mom to stop snooping around on your computer.

Stop looking at THOSE WEBSIGHTS
Also grind your hard drive into dust when you're finished browsing. That'll teach them to put cookies on your computer!

Just find where FF stores it's history and run a file shredder on everything in there. Done.
Come check out my website, I guess. Random stuff I've worked on over the last two decades.

Where could I E-mail or mail to if I want to address my ideas and Opinions?
Re: What are some of the better history cleaners?
Okay. If you want to be even safer, set up a RAM disk and get Firefox to use that - or use the "Private Browsing" function.

Well, if you all need to know, my computer fizzled out, and mine isn't getting here until January. So, I have to use my sister's computer.
And you know.

Firefox to go, anyone?
Don't hold grudges. GET EVEN.
Re: What are some of the better history cleaners?
For the ultra-paranoid, I'm not even sure the RAM disk will be completely secure. Even if you tell Firefox to not use any disk cache at all, there's still a chance that whatever is in system memory might be paged to the hard disk.cools wrote:Okay. Just turn off Firefox or media player histories...

If you're going to be as paranoid as I think you are, grab a copy of Damn Small Linux [50MB], burn it to a CD, and use the copy of FF on that. It doesn't even mount your Windows drive, and unless you have it installed, it doesn't use swap.

Re: What are some of the better history cleaners?
Just tell your sister so you don't have to deal with this crap. I'm sure she knows already, anyway.
Re: What are some of the better history cleaners?
um, just use Chrome and Incognito Mode, or whatever the IE8 equivalent of that is
Re: What are some of the better history cleaners?
Most sensible suggestion. Mind you, when I was a teenager I probably wouldn't have wanted family members to definatively know. Couldn't care less these dayssikraiken wrote:Just tell your sister so you don't have to deal with this crap. I'm sure she knows already, anyway.

Easiest way is to delete Firefox altogether, and use portable version on an USB drive.

Firefux has a "private browsing" option, doesn't it?

Believe me, we're pretty paranoid around here. I don't think you're paying attention to the suggestions.
Re: What are some of the better history cleaners?
Just ask your sister what she's using to cover her pron tracks and use that.
