Why not, actually? We already have Divine Sealing for Genesis and Night Slave for PC98 (though the lattar is more of Assault Suit/Metal Warriors sorta stuff). Sengoku Ace 2 and 3 also may be mentioned here. But are there any other adult/hentai/ecchi-themed shmups? Can't believe that it's the only genre short of naughty games!

There's an absolute crap tonne of doujin ones in particular. There's one series called sentimental shooting which is kind of like Gals Panic or other pornographic Qix clones where you shoot the clothes off a girl. I could dig out a few more, but they invariably tend to be pretty crap. It's a shame shoot the core isn't running anymore, I seem to remember they allowed you to search 'hentai' as a genre.

FAKE EDIT Yeah, everyone seems to love Yakouga 4, so might want to check that out.

While getting the PC Engine version of Steam Hearts to run is a pain, it had much more provocative imagery than the tamed down Saturn version. IMO the Saturn gameplay and in game visuals/audio were much better. But if your looking for H, PC Engine can't be beat.

All of the games by this doujin group (Akira Hut or something?) rock but yeah, this one in particular is a fucking rad game and probably the best from these guys, but I secretly wish the hentai shit wasn't in it. I don't mind playing H-games in front of my friends, but I don't find the shit particularly attractive and I can't play it in public or in front of my family.

I also wish they had stuck with the ero guro theme from earlier stuff like Hellbound. I thought the freak-out art there was great, but oh well, yakouga 4 is almost definitely better.

Yeah, I really miss NEC's console approach. I believe they were the only company that allowed licensed H-games on their hardware, which is pretty neat IMHO

I can't site specific game names. Shouldn't be too hard about to research on the web though. They are referred to as "red label" games, and many still fetch high prices, probably because of small production runs.

Sadly not (Steam Hearts had been altered, ergo everything of interest removed).
The hardest you'll get to see on Saturn are Mahjong or Shougi adventure games. It shows you tits and underwear but nothing nasty, still way more sexuality in there than in PS2 or Dreamcast soft... or on current consoles. One sunday afternoon, years ago, I was so bored I compiled an incomplete list of what I considered the most "offensive" games to be released on the SS. Most of them have the X-Rating or 18-Rating Logo on it. Before CERO Ratings, however, that didn't tell very much about the game. And there are way more adventures / puzzle / board games for the Saturn which can be regarded as Hentai-games since they contain sexy (more or less) photos / videos of women without anything nasty, like the Playboy Karaoke games. I don't want to include them because they aren't hardcore enough.
