Re: Xbox 360: Mushihimesama Futari 1.5 (new thread)
Oddly enough, the only stuttering I get out of the game is if something (midboss, bullet-cancellable enemies) gets destroyed and shitloads of bullets gets cancelled upon enemy destruction.

you made me cry here... i wont be able to taste any of the extras... i think im gonna sell my elite and get a arcade or whatever, and start over... in hopes to get the extras of this and the upcomming ones, hopefully, those will be region free too.Lok wrote:I played a bit of each mode today and haven't noticed a stutter yet with MF installed to the HDD. Though judging by some of the replies, I might as well expect it sometime soon. Maybe if enough people notice and complain about it Cave will issue an update.
Really enjoyed Black Label though but I'm gonna hold off on it for a bit until I get better at 1.5. Cave really filled our plates with this game, we have 4 versions now (5 for the lucky) and each version has 3 different modes.

I've got that too. I didn't notice it at first, but as soon as I did I remembered seeing this post. Odd little defect.Zaarock wrote:Also there is an odd blue horizontal line crossing the screen for me on the end level score screen, under the last crystal counter.

YAY! I finally got some money... funny how excited I am just at the fact that I can order this game finally. I think I'm going to go ahead and order from PA. The only thing that sucks is I probably won't be able to play it until the end of December. See you guys then.

I'm really enjoying God Mode... so far I've only broken half a billion (just past the stage 3 midboss) but I feel like this is a mode I can handle (with enough practice).

Re: Xbox 360: Mushihimesama Futari 1.5 (new thread)
Perhaps Futari Black Label could have been titled simply Futari 2.0. As Black Label Original to me feels like an obvious gameplay improvement over 1.5 Original. It actually allows the fun of good old fashioned bullet herding throughout stages 2 and 3, instead of v1.5 forcing memorization and excessive care. I was expecting Black Label Original to be harder, but the better balancing for different playstyles results in BL Original actually being easier than its v1.5 counterpart for the first three stages (no comment on later stages, I'll leave that comparison to the expert players).
Black Label's new God Mode is also a huge improvement over the unplayable broken difficulty level of 1.5's Ultra mode.
I'm not sure yet how I feel about BL Maniac vs. 1.5 Maniac.
The Black Label DLC is definitely worth the money.
(It's also a huge relief that this DLC can be purchased directly by any international Gamertag from the Game Library Downloads menu, since it means we won't have to deal with any future DRM nightmares associated with sharing DLC between different accounts.)

fuck the stutter---what about the terrible glitching? is anyone else experiencing this?
note: i dont experience the glitching on an sdtv...which makes little to no sense to me.

How do you install the game to your HD? I've never seen that option before.

From the dashboard, go to "My Xbox", and where it says "Play Game" (the first option), hit Y, go down to Install Game to Hard Drive, and that's it. There's probably some method that requires fewer inputs, but that's what I always do. It's nice not having to listen to my 360's loud-as-hell disc drive all the time.Jugiatsu wrote:How do you install the game to your HD? I've never seen that option before.

Yeah, I didn't realize that was the disc drive making all the racket. It's so much quieter now, and probably much easier on the system.CaptainRansom wrote:From the dashboard, go to "My Xbox", and where it says "Play Game" (the first option), hit Y, go down to Install Game to Hard Drive, and that's it. I played a bunch of games of both and I prefer BL. It allows you to build your chain meter with your C shot on big enemies, which makes for many more big scoring opportunities, and thus makes it much more fun. The downside of this is that you can't build up your counter with C shot on a big enemy before switching to A laser for the kill without waiting for your chain meter to run down.Thunder Force wrote:I'm not sure yet how I feel about BL Maniac vs. 1.5 Maniac.

Hahaaah, significant progress with 1.5 original tonight. Now with just a couple restarts I can clear it with abnormal Palm. Without a doubt this is one of the easiest Cave games, perhaps even easier then Deathsmiles?
Oh, one big complaint though.... where have all the art galleries gone in Cave games??? As an artist I love looking at the sketches and concept art that the PS2 ports had. Really bummed about not seeing them in these Xbox ports.

The game lagged for a solid and saved me from certain death in a certain part of Stage 2 of God Mode.
Thank you, ridiculously fucked up lag spike.

Not had a single graphics glitch in the few weeks I've had it and I've been playing using an SDTV, installed to HDD.kid aphex wrote:fuck the stutter---what about the terrible glitching? is anyone else experiencing this?

BL Original is such a massive improvement on all the other Original modes, I can't see me playing 1.01 or 1.5 again.

Re: Xbox 360: Mushihimesama Futari 1.5 (new thread)
While BL is a lot of fun, the challenge of learning to 1CC at least the original modes of both previous versions is good for anyone that really wants to get better at shmups. Then you can always whip out the Ultra modes when you have friends over that claim to be really good at "shooting games".bcass wrote:BL Original is such a massive improvement on all the other Original modes, I can't see me playing 1.01 or 1.5 again.
So these video glitches, do they only appear when playing on a high res screen (LCD, Plasma)? I only play my 360 in my cab, so... I did notice some control lag the other night, but that might be my joystick acting up.

Try clearing it with NO restarts then comment on how much easier it is than Deathsmiles. Not a chance.

Why do people keep saying this game is easy based on the Original or Arrange modes? Ultra is still one of the most difficult things Cave has ever done. You're gonna mislead people.

Forget arrange entirely, from what I understand that's for the kiddies to clear and experts to score.szycag wrote:Why do people keep saying this game is easy based on the Original or Arrange modes? Ultra is still one of the most difficult things Cave has ever done. You're gonna mislead people.
But 1.5 Original is no walk-in-the-park 1CC. It's easier than some, sure, but not easier than the 1st mushi original mode, and harder to clear than Deathsmiles by a long shot.

Futari Original is easier than the first Mushi Original for me, but perhaps my stills are just developing
Does using restart mess with your progression in any way? I remember way back I posted a Gigawing 2 score that I was called out on because each restart effected my score in some way, regardless, my All-clear (with restarts) was taken off the leader boards for justifiable reasons. I bet a lot of people still post there "fake" all-clears, but I learned my lesson, I can't handle that level of shame ever again

I don't know if restarting does anything to your score, but you can only post to the online leader boards in score attack mode, which doesn't allow restarts.chempop wrote:Futari Original is easier than the first Mushi Original for me, but perhaps my stills are just developing![]()

Using a restart also prevents you from saving your replay (although, it will still allow you to enter your high score).t0yrobo wrote:I don't know if restarting does anything to your score, but you can only post to the online leader boards in score attack mode, which doesn't allow restarts.chempop wrote:Futari Original is easier than the first Mushi Original for me, but perhaps my stills are just developing![]()

Damn Tim, you know there are quite a few Americans out there who still lives in tents due to this shitty economy, and you're dropping loads on a single game which only last 20 min. Do you think it's fair? How much did you spend this time?

Has sold at least 15,000 copies in Japan alone, with at least 24,000 copies shipped globally (Japan included). Both numbers should be higher by now.Dale wrote:So how well did this sell?
