At this time, we (Super Fighter Team) are not scheduled to exhibit at the MGC event. And, Carl Forhan of Songbird has not arranged to bring any copies of Zaku with him to the MGC. It should be noted that Carl/Songbird are not involved with Zaku; PenguiNet developed, Super Fighter Team published.

The quickest way to pick up a copy of Zaku is directly from the ordering page at the official website -

If you have any questions about the game, or about the ordering process, please feel free to contact me directly. Thank-you for your interest.

For CMA Death Adder,

Got a few of questions regarding your Zaku Lynx title:

Considering that Zaku pays homage to the classic Air Zonk Hu-Card game on the TurboGrafx-16 platform, I'm surprised that the joint collaborative efforts of NEC, Hudson Soft & Red didn't make an Air Zonk arcade PCB version with even more crazier power-ups and a greater expanded cast of friends to combine with. Two player co-op feature would've been a plus indeed along with an high score screen capable of saving high scores via back-up battery or flash memory. It's too bad that the Super CD-Rom2 sequel to Air Zonk never could match up to the fine production values set by the first one.

1.) What is a print run like for Zaku...how many copies were produced?

2.) Will an OST music CD of Zaku's BGM tunes ever be released?

3.) And is a sequel to Zaku being considered or will it remain as a single game title unto itself (like how Squaresoft said that it's Playstation game of Einhander wouldn't get a sequel despite fans clamoring for a sequel or prequel of it)?

4.) Would you consider re-releasing Zaku with a high score screen feature? And would it be possible to save high scores to flash memory upon powering it down for the night?

Thank you for your time...

Hello.

We produced 300 copies to start with. We'll produce more to meet additional demand.

The soundtrack is already available from the composer's website.

No idea. We just finished + released Zaku, you know. ;)
PC Engine Fan X! wrote:4.) Would you consider re-releasing Zaku with a high score screen feature?
We are pleased with Zaku as it is.

The technology exists, so this could potentially be accomplished with a future game.
