Wow this thread has been buzzing! -- I'm so ready to begin playing this game now.
I just put new Sanwa buttons in my HRAP1 and can't wait to be rockin' all Sanwa for Futari. I haven't recieved my copy yet but I expect it any day now. Star Ocean 4 has been passing the time untill Futari comes nicely, as I had waited a long time untill recently to start playing.

I'm just kind of giddy because I just took the step up to next-gen (or is current-gen now?) with a X360. I can't wait to start working on some scores and tripping some of my friends out by playing with them 2P.

You guys that didn't make it past novice make me feel good about myself  . I no missed original and 1cc'd ultra this morning before work. They're quite easy for sure, but a ton of fun to play, and it's nice to be able to relax and take in the art a bit. The last stage is really great all around, music, patterns, and the background with all the multidirectional scrolling.

Ahaha, I still call it next-gen but it does sound a bit funny eh? I still don't even have the money to order this masterpiece but as soon as I do. I just cant wait, I haven't been this excited for a game since IDK when/

Are there any nice replay vids anywhere for Original Mode Stage 3, preferably with Abnormal Palm? I'm trying to devise strategies for effective boss murderizing and seem to always get nailed with the first volley of bullets from its first and second stages. I'd download some replays from XBL but our router is screwy at the mo and doesn't want to play nice with the console. :/
I most definitely hate your favorite shooter.
For the sake of our own sanity, let's not even talk about Psikyo, Battle Garegga, or DDP DOJ with each other.

I wouldn't really say it's 'nice', but this is from a replay I made back when I owned the PCB of it.

What is the default button layout on mushi arcade cabinets?

A B C ?

A B
C ?

Does the arcade version have C button?

For those who have arcade sticks:

The only cab I've played the game on had it in A B C layout.

What he said. And yes, the arcade had the C button.
For arrange, I mapped the character change button to be below A, since that's where a 4th button would typically be anyway.

The thing is, I don't find it comfortable to use 3 buttons. What will I lose if I don't use C (and tap A instead)?

The type of shot you use if I recall correctly. A is normal shot and C is auto-fire. Problem is they are 2 different types of shots. On original mode if I recall correctly you want to use the A shot when your hundreds counter is between 0-4 and C shot when its between 5-9 (example 14589) you would use the C shot since the 100's spot has a 5.

I might have gotten that backwards though and I could be completely wrong. I will wait for a master to explain.

My copy finally arrived in the mail, and got the DLC card for 1.01, but how do you go about putting in the code to enable the mode? The marketplace only has the PV and the theme, in game there's just the placeholder for when BL is released.

You could check this thread
Or press the guide button, go a couple ticks to the left, and select "redeem code"

Going through the latter of a 60 page thread didn't sound too appealing to me, nor was the search of any use.

Thanks for the prompt reply though!

I was just being cheeky, a little guide for all the menus and whatnot would be nice for the game. It's not laid out in the most obvious way, but once you figure it out it's fine.

Tapping C will use your main shot without firing your options, which is useful for scoring in some places in maniac mode because it will boost your combo counter up and into red without hurting your target too much. A+C uses the A shot, so I hold down C constantly and A+C when I need the focus shot.

I read this on another page, but haven't seen it here yet.

If you are playing this on a CRT, make sure to select "PCB" in the options, because it is set to "Fast" to make up for lag in new televisions.

The figure is 15000 units, check neogaf (or wherever that was posted first; it's lower on the page).

Thanks! Got my answer.
And just to clarify an earlier point - tapping A is probably NOT the same as holding C, but some runs in training mode would definitely clarify this.

In general, I'd say get used to the autofire being there, it became standard for a reason...

All of it came with the LE, but if you're getting the standard LE it won't have the telephone card or faceplate stickers shown in my picture.

Can anyone tell me where people originally got the Special LE version of Mushi Futura?

I'd also like to know the difference in price as well between Special LE and Standard LE. If they were priced teh same, tt would suck knowing that you spent about 35$ more on just a soundtrack and you missed out on the phone card and faceplate.

Thanks :)

I ran into an odd glitch last night. I was playing Novice Ultra and after defeating Shin Larsa her option fireballs stayed on the screen and continued to fire at me. Anybody else encounter this?

And seriously, the OP needs to be fucking updated.

If the OP doesn't want to update the thread I would be happy to make another. I feel like typing fairly long sentences and I don't have anything worthwhile to talk about.

Yeah, I mentioned this over at cavestg a few hours ago. It's not an uncommon glitch even though the bullets in question don't actually do any damage, as you're invincible. It's not really a big deal.

Edit: My 1.01 redeem code is funny. ktkrw-wwok-xxxxxxx

That'd be great if you'd do that for us. I'll even use my majikal powers to put a link to it in this thread's OP so people know where to go.
