Anyone love the service that is gamefly?
Re: Gamefly
I used to , but for the past few months i am only getting stuff that is 5-6 down on my gameQ. I do like the coupons i get and discounts on buying games. i picked up riddick for the ps3 for $4.99.

Exactly. It is cheaper for me to 'rent' a game i want to buy and then keep it. Literally saving about $12+ each time.

Too bad there isn't a mail-order service to rent arcade PCBs as well with the option to buy them if you like them.

Have they gotten better service-wise in the last couple years? I asked about it somewhere (might have been here?) a ways back and got mostly negative feedback. Friends who tried it had the same problems - things took forever to ship and the things they wanted often were not available. I'm inclined to try it to save money, but patience is not one of my strong suits.

I wonder if it will also depend how far you live next to distribution centers. I believe there are 2 in my area close. From what I found is I have never had a problem getting a game as long as i plan it out. For example, on new releases just make sure that you have nothing in queue that can be sent out, and the game you want at the top a day before it is due out. I've always gotten my game the day after it was said to be released, so it ships when it says it will.
Re: Gamefly
I see they carry PSP games & UMD movies. Might be interesting to rent a UMD movie or two while I'm on a week-long business trip, instead of buying a couple to take w/ me. This has potential, though I'm not sure how many actual games I'll want to rent. I'm guessing the monthly recurring $15.95 for the basic plan will still be more costly than the occasional purchase of a used game, so maybe this won't be a good choice for me...
