that is quite awesome....
Damn Tim, you know there are quite a few Americans out there who still lives in tents due to this shitty economy, and you're dropping loads on a single game which only last 20 min. Do you think it's fair? How much did you spend this time?

DO WANT. *o*

Although a die-cast R-13 would be awesome, too...

Pretty sure that was an unassembled resin kit. This is pre-built and pre-painted.
I most definitely hate your favorite shooter.
For the sake of our own sanity, let's not even talk about Psikyo, Battle Garegga, or DDP DOJ with each other.

That's ... surprisingly cool.

Does that base come with it? The base looks bigger than the ship itself.

Hopefully unintended contact with the base doesn't make the ship explode... How would you explain THAT to people? Lawls.

If I had the room I would buy it (but at least I do have the cash).

The Thunder Force one is already mentioned in this thread, brought to you by the same guys that made all the other Shooting Game Historica figure series.

I'm really tempted to get that R9, however.

Yeh, me too. I've always liked the series' ship designs. And later the games themselves too, heh.

Is it possible to order items directly from AmiAmi or is NCSX the better option here? They're taking pre-orders for it too.

Yes, I'm quite familiar with NCSX, that wasn't the point. The question was is there any reason to use them in this case, when ordering directly from AmiAmi will cost $90 plus shipping as opposed to NCSX's $129.90 plus shipping.

if Amiami is like all the other Japan-based international hobby stores, they'll force EMS on you, no matter what.
EDIT: Never mind. Placed an order from Amiami too and you can tell them to use SAL if you wish.

Well, I couldn't resist. Placed my pre-order through Amiami.

Gah. As much as I love the Thunder Force and R-Type series, I can't justify spending 100 dollars or more on a miniature model. Pass.
