Apologies, but I have a bit of noob question regarding the X360.
Let's say you have the DLC card, you redeem the code, and you download the 100kb file to your HDD. In about a month for whatever reason you accidentally delete the 1.01 file. Is it possible to somehow reaquire/redownload the file again or is the file gone forever?

This thread has been like the blind leading the blind from start to finish. For a message board frequented by so-called 'shmup' aficionados, it was quite shameful. Kotaku of all places told you that it was region free, cluelessness followed regarding scanlines which were only confirmed until after retail copies surfaced and total confusion regarding the limited DLC. It was like watching headless chickens. Furthermore, the latter part turned into a live logistics feed and about as interesting and informative. Wot happen?
I would hope that things will be better for the run-up to Ketsui X360 but that game criminally doesn't even have its own thread! WTF.

From your non-existent industry contacts?
Or from the barren, pathetic wasteland that is your message board?

You can just go into your download history for that username and re-download it.maxmultiplier wrote:Apologies, but I have a bit of noob question regarding the X360.

SO...anyway...
So, what's the difference between BL and these versions? Is it just bullet patterns, or are there any graphical differences?
Also, just so you know, 1.01 IS harder than 1.5. The midbosses last longer, as do some of the bosses. Faster bullet spray at points. Can't get past stage 3 on this one. 1.5 I can make it to the stage 4 boss.

so i'm hearing that the achievement for the 1st level ultra clear is a little off in that if you restart the level from the pause menu you don't get it?
I came close to it last night - but i'd used pause/restart - so was somewhat glad i screwed it up.

from the people who got those early copies from JAPJAC of course! And where were we supposed to get this anointed information?

And what did those people say when they got their limited edition with no soundtrack cds?
Re: [X360] Mushihime-sama Futari Ver. 1.5 is region free
actually, lets ask them (again)And what did those people say when they got their limited edition with no soundtrack cds?
..... anyone ?
hasn't been 100% true for a long time, and i'm sure you've seen the fliers that have the almost final art work/layout on them. There was one for Mushihimesame too!Shop display boxes in Japan ALWAYS have 'Sample' written on them, in my 7 years experience.
shot of it here from Bic - please note, doesn't say sample where NTSC-J is :

you can see it has the purple box thing mentioning the CD soudtrack is included too.
Obviously the retail doesn't have that purple box, but strangely the early LE copy looks like it has it. Weird. I guess just unfortunate that the picture you took has the SE stacked ontop of the LE obscuring it. Or it was Cave fault for putting review copies in those boxes with the advert fliers. Or something.
admitedly sad photo comparison :

you have a point - internet wide people posting USPS / EMS / etc status every day is pointless.Furthermore, the latter part turned into a live logistics feed and about as interesting and informative.

The camera only made it appear to have no slipcase and a black dvd case.

That's pretty standard right? Mushi used to say "now try again without the restart" even if you credit fed through it if I recall correctly.dcharlie wrote:so i'm hearing that the achievement for the 1st level ultra clear is a little off in that if you restart the level from the pause menu you don't get it?

Re: [X360] Mushihime-sama Futari Ver. 1.5 is region free
seems a little harsh that you'd have to go all the way back to the menu to come back in when you want to restart the first level from the beginning to get the achievement
ah well.
ah well.

Re: [X360] Mushihime-sama Futari Ver. 1.5 is region free
What was pretty sad about PS2 Mushi port was having to go through obnoxiously long sequences of dying, waiting for the continue countdown, and finally that overly long game over screen, as well as a couple loading sequences, in case you wanted to restart instead of credit-feeding. Having to wait for almost a minute to restart from the beginning is in my opinion inexcusable, and it has successfully rendered the pause menu option by that name completely useless.
I guess it's the same here, sans some loading time.
When I think of it I always recall how much of an effort it is to do that in any Windows Touhou game: escape -> up -> z. That's ergonomics.

lack of loadtimes should make it less of a problem . small mercies i guess! i never attempted one crediting the PS2 version, didn't get to spend anywhere near the time to get anywhere near it.

it only deminishes the chance of failure, but they still fail. A few friends have had Jaspers die on them. For real? I just bought a Jasper, and I was getting all confident.
As mentioned, i'm at the point that even now if someone is asking about the X360 that i should mention the RRoD. I just wonder if this will have any knock on effect next gen? :/

I'm getting buried here..
Anyway, I looked up some info on Black Label, and read that your characters are mix of normal and abnormal.
Does Reco still have the ability to attatch her options to enemies?

BrightSuzaku, if you were still looking there are Novice Ultra videos on Youtube. I linked to them a while back but don't feel like digging them back up.

I'd have to agree, it's getting a bit silly how many times the same questions have been asked.JAPJAC wrote:This thread has been like the blind leading the blind from start to finish.
I thought it was already dumb when all the people that joined shmups just to post about this game and in this thread were giving hourly shipping updates as to the whereabouts of their package.

Re: [X360] Mushihime-sama Futari Ver. 1.5 is region free
Hot damn this game is good. Cleared Arrange Original right off--first thing I did. Loving 1.5 Original the most so far. Just a beautiful port. Loving the visual options, and the incredibly short load times with the game installed. I'm battling the urge to tate my 32" Aquos to see it in its full glory. My only gripe is that you can't assign multiple buttons for the various actions (there can only be ONE bomb button, etc), but beyond that this package has everything you could ask for.
Bummer to hear about the 1.01 debacle, but honestly, this disc is so stuffed with content I don't think anyone will really miss it. I tried it out briefly, but quickly went back to 1.5. It's just a nice bonus that should have been on the disc from the start.

Yeah, but I meant in Black Label. From what I gather, Black Label has no abnormal mode.Jockel wrote:That would be abnormal Reco.evil_ash_xero wrote: Does Reco still have the ability to attatch her options to enemies?

Also, it seems like you don't have to get up on your enemies to lock on either. That's disappointing. I like that part.
