Yeah I know dude, it's like that other game with no dodging, what was it, Ikaruga? Way too easy.

I am, I am. I'm very upset that I got screwed out of a DLC card. I took all the proper measures to ensure I get the highly sought after 1.01 card (preodering 3 months in advance).
Cave should have never released 2nd print copies in the first place.
I haven't even bothered playing the game. That's how upset I am.
I want my DLC card. :(

Skykid wrote:Weird thread this one. Everyone seems happy to accept that if 1.01 isn't there it's no big deal - even though it offers a different experience to play through, one that, if word is true, is challenging and different and plenty of fun to play.

Exactly. This is what saddens me the most. 1.01 is an actual legit game mode which adds replayability, funfactor, and like you said "a different experience".
Unfortunately a number of us won't be able to play this mode unless Cave decides to release it in the future.
The Death Smiles DLC card on the other hand was kinda meaningless as that only added actual voice dialouge to the story which dosen't add anything to the gameplay.

Jet Black wrote:I got the Regular Edition with the DLC card from PA. Ordered around mid November.

Now It's become very clear to me. P-A did not give priority to early preorders but instead randomly shipped out 1st print & 2nd print copies to customers.
I guess there's nothing we can do. Complaining to Cave & or P-A would probably be a waste of time. :(

Me, I would let them know that you're very disappointed, in fact to the very degree of not even playing your copy at all and demand they send you a DLC card unless they wish to see no more of your hard earned cash ever again. Or accept a return. And CAVE should be told about how P-A handles their game's pre-orders, as it'll might affect their reputation as well.

I thought Spiritual Larsa was in Black Label God Mode only, what with the fancy graceful music and such.

The stuff in that Arrange vid there is just the Ultra mode TLB version, sans slowdown, which would make it even more wicked than the original Mushi Ultra Mode TLB if it weren't for the bullet reflection. :o

Yes, in the west at least, this is the latest trend in discouraging used game sales; since you can't re-sell the one-time use code, the game loses part of its content when re-sold. And if it's re-sold anyway, in most cases so far the publishers offer to separately sell the missing content via online store, to the person who bought the used copy, so they still get money off the used sale that way. This is pure speculation, but if Cave follows that trend, they could possibly start selling the 1.01 DLC unlock as a separate purchase alongside the Black Label DLC.

Christ I can't wait for this. Ordered it way back in September, right after hearing about it and depositing money in my bank account. I was super bummed I couldn't get it this weekend, now I have to wait a whole 'nother week in order to play it. Unless it takes even LONGER than that. I really hope mine comes with the DLC card, I ordered from Play-Asia and I'd be super pissed if I got shafted for it.

One thing I've noticed: Arrange mode looks super boring. Initially I thought it looked awesome because I absolutely adore Mars Matrix, and this looked very much the same as that. But it's not like that at all I guess, and seems very easy and pointless. I'm hoping it has more layers and challenge than I'm noticing now. At any rate, I really can't wait. I loved the first Mushi, but the scoring system in Maniac was just retarded as hell to me, here's hoping I like this one better. To be honest it still sounds a little obtuse, but I'll give it a shot before I make a decision on it.

It is, but the Arrange mode version is wicked fast in comparison.

The used game business part of it is rather annoying. But if it's going to be available for free more or less at release why not put it on the disc, seems kinda silly to do it any other way.

I assume so, you can adjust the volume for voices separate to SFX and Music in Death Smiles.. (i had to lower them as well)

Seems I am one of the few that actually likes the voices. I suppose some people find them annoying though and some just want no voices to help concentrate.

On the other notes. I wonder in the future for the people who did NOT get their DLC cards with their game, if Cave would offer a BL+1.01 Package to download off the marketplace. Current predictions seem to think BL would be around 1200 points so I suppost 1500 wouldnt be bad for both of them in 1. Then again they could jack it up to 2000 points just in an attempt to cave money. But this is Cave were talking about right?.........right?

All the hype and multiple pages made me ask someone in Japan to get this for me. I don't even have an Xbox360 (nor I'm planning to but I have a friend with one) but if it supports Cave, I'm definitely helping. And seeing Espgaluda II is coming...

Let's just say it'll be a "mutual" gift, heh. "Lookies, instead of that FPS you wanted so much I bought you this RETRO PLAYGAME old school tr00 kvlt metal lolishooter pew pew!!!" (picture that Simpsons episode where Bart gets the golf game instead of the MK clone)

Though I hope they'll eventually re-edit stuff in region free form for PC... They mentioned Steam for Guwange, right? Hope it happens.

Futari Got. DLC card included. Vendor Videogameimports.com in the UK. Lack of verbal expression due to being blown away by awesome port.

I imagine the code can only be used once and it's to make people reluctant to buy a second hand copy. I'm sure a few games do it, Dragon Age is another one.
I could completely deal with this strategy IF...... all new copies came packed with them.

But I have mine and used it.... so I am ok.
Damn Tim, you know there are quite a few Americans out there who still lives in tents due to this shitty economy, and you're dropping loads on a single game which only last 20 min. Do you think it's fair? How much did you spend this time?

Yes, and uploadable/downloadable replays. You can only see them when you use the DLC code though.

Yeah at least with Dragon Age all new copies get a one time download code that links to your account. It's not on a first print basis which ended up being pretty suspect this time around. Seems like the fans became a victim of Cave's success. We wanted to support them so badly they mixed in 2nd prints in the first shipment to meet demand.

Well when mine arrives even if it don't have the dlc card it will be ok considering there are still a ton of playing options.

Awesome game, got it early saturday. seems that the first 3 and a half levels are really easy, then the game kicks it into high gear. Playing on an SD CRT and 360 mode looks amazing. Cave needs to give all their games this treatment. I'd buy a remastered Mushi at a high price!

Christ I can't wait for it to come in, I should have just sprung for better shipping.

How long does the default bubble garbage shipping take? Mine has already shipped (shipped on Wednesday), I can expect it by this Friday right?

Also if there's no DLC card I will be a sad panda. Damned Play-Asia. I know I could never muster up the self control to send it back to them and wait for another copy with DLC. And thus I would be depressed for a week.

For those who have it, how is 1.01?

It looks like NCSX sent out the rest of their LEs this morning. Mine got scanned in by USPS at 12:40am. I just wish they had better tracking so I could obsessively track it's location. With any luck tomorrow will be Mushi time.

I don't think it will be that fast. Mine shipped this morning too, but stuff generally takes 2-3 days to ship from USPS, it seems...

I've gotta say this game is great.

Got my copy from Play-Asia with DLC card on Friday. Feel kinda bad for the people that have been getting screwed there. :(

Played it for about 7 hours this weekend. This is how shooter ports should be done. Game looks really beautiful in 360 mode. This is my first time playing Futari but it really has that addictive quality to me. The difficulty curve seems just right, kind of like DDP.
