Emulation glitch in Flying Hero.

Post by Damocles »

It's an obscure, crappy game, but it has a funny glitch when running in Snes9x. Namely, you never run out of lives or bombs, since the game ticks neither of them off. I didn't notice this until level seven.

Anyone know how to take out the final boss? That bastard sucks.

 That's quite a glitch. Is it only in Snes9x? Have you tried it on another emulator? Or maybe you got a trained ROM...?

Odd. I checked out another version, and there is a trainer tacked on. Makes me wonder if the original just nixed that menu...

*shrug*

Anyway, the original rom has the same peculularities in Zsnes. Too bad too, since I legitimately made it to the final boss, then proceeded to get worked.

Hmm.. must be multiple roms of the game out there. The one I've played in ZSNES definitely didn't have unlimited bombs or lives.

The final form of the final boss is amazingly cheap. I don't know if there is any kind of pattern, I just winged it. Lost quite a few lives there, which was annoying, as I'd 1-lifed up to that point.

Did you notice you can change the angle of your shot by using the L/R buttons, or fire behind you by holding L+R while shooting?

I didn't notice that. Oddly enough though, I never needed it...though I could see how the reverse show would be useful on the final boss.

I disagree. Yeah, it's easy and the weapons are lame, but it has smooth, colorful graphics and some neat mode7 effects. I'm a sucker for super-fast scrolling it has in some places. Wouldn't call it "crappy", more like a 3 out of 5. Average, has a few good aspects.
