As someone who has developed a game for 360, I can virtually guarantee that it does.
When developing a game using XNA: by default, in a network session, all joined players automatically get the ability to chat with each other. The programmer doesn't need to do anything to implement this; it just happens. Since voice chat is built into the 360's core system software, I see no reason why this wouldn't be the case in professionally-developed games as well.

Placed my order yesterday with Play-Asia. "Estimated shipping date: On or before Dec 04, 2009"
I would have gone with NCSX, but Play-Asia was like $10 cheaper because of the coupon.

Agreed. Posts are for other people's enjoyment and I don't find anything enjoyable about those posts. I would find it much more worthwhile if people started posting scores/strats. in the high score thread when they got their game. People probably aren't going to question whether you "GOT YOR GAEM TODAY!" or not when you start posting scores.

Have been enjoying the OST so far. The J-core remix of the Futari last boss theme is very fitting, but I especially love the pop version of Spiritual Larsa!
And arrange mode is fun! Lots and lots (and lots) of gems everywhere! Does anyone else enjoy this mode?
And 100kB for the 1.01 download is not especially surprising, since it's only a set of tweaks to life points and bonuses. In fact, I would have been surprised if it were more than that!
You guys waiting for shipments etc. could have things a lot easier- just come and live in Japan.
Got mine release day at Bic Camera and there were loads of limited editions there too. Used my point card and got it for 250 yen
Anyway, port is awesome- played the hell out of the coin op last year and getting addicted to this again fast. Arrange modes seem a bit dull but I'm def getting BL when its available.
The joystick is hot bonded, which makes repair difficult.
I don't know the connection type of the buttons, but they're the same as my HRAP EX and I believe they require soldering to change out.
Disappointing make for this stick. Still, at least it's a Seimitsu.
Daw, it's a little worrying seeing people who ordered as early as August not getting DLC cards! I initially ordered a copy of Mushi about the 6th of October, but then managed to find a coupon code a couple of days later and the dollar improved from where it was when I last ordered, so canceled my original order and placed another on the 12th of October. I guess ultimately it's kind of minor, but we've been told that all first print copies should have it included and if we went out of our way to order it early so that you'd get it you'd understandably be a little disappointed.
Unfortunately I went with economy box shipping so I wont find out for a little while, but thankfully it's usually only about a week or so wait in my past experience, and sometimes service even speeds up a little near Christmas. I guess with such a large volume of mail more shipments are done and faster.

Those sure look like quick disconnects on the buttons to me. I'd need to see them at an angle to be sure though. But historically, Hori either uses quick disconnects, or solders the PCB directly to the buttons (in which case you wouldn't even be able to see the buttons from the underside at all).
Can anyone with the LE confirm if the menu music in the game is on the CD?
I've been playing a lot of Dai-Ou-Jou over the last few weeks, and going from that to Mushi Futari makes Futari seem the lesser game... The difficulty gap is staggering. Still, I haven't had a proper read of all the strats yet so hopefully more fun will be found that way. Love the music though.
The game arrived yesterday from Play-asia. No DLC card. Arrange mode is great though, I've 1CCed Original mode and stayed alive in Ultra mode until the second half of stage 5. Arrange does make things a whole lot easier.

Futari is the lesser game, but then you're talking about DOJ which is the mother of all danmaku shmups. On it's own merits Futari is terrific.
I wish you'd all stop saying it was easy though. It's definitely not the hardest, but even original is no walk in the park.
Elixir wrote:How the fuck are people not receiving DLC cards, if it comes INSIDE the game case, which is sealed?
A number of HK sellers appear to have gotten copies with and without the card.

Recently Hori's been cheaping out and soldering everything instead of using QDs. I think the only current-gen stick they've used QDs on is the HRAP3.

IIRC, the only talk of how easy it is has been re: the Novice difficulty or Arrange Original. :)
it'S going to be come more and more common - i understand why but not sure how i feel about it.
Basically, it's to try and pursuade 1st hand game purchasing.
At the moment the cards have opened up minor downloads with the bonus content available if you pay, hence second hand sales have a chance to generate cash.
In truth, it's only a matter of time before some evil company puts a one time dlc card that unlocks something huge so that you have to purchase the key for the game to be of any value, thus meaning pubs effectively get cash from second hand sales

I set up a Jp account on my US X360 and redeemed the DLC card with no problem. I wonder if i needed to set up a new account, couldn't i just have redeemed the code on my US account?

Novice mode has to be a joke. First try, not only did I get my first 1CC ever, but I didn't lose a life! Still, maybe a good way to work your way into the game and see the basics of the stage design without the frustration of quarter feeding?
Did anyone who ordered from NCSX receive theirs today? Mine is literally down the road at UPS. Won't be here until monday. Been all alone since Wednesday. Poor thing. *sigh*

I was saying just the other day that with the way DLC is becoming the biggest scam in gaming history I might be sitting out future generations of consoles. I remember when UBISoft released DLC for the first Splinter Cell....they took the E3 demo (which wasn't intended to be a part of the game and was thus absent) and reworked it because so many people wished the demo level had been a part of the game. Then they added two massive extra levels...all for free, simply to promote interest in the game and reward the fans. Flash forward a few years and UBI removes the actual ending to the new Prince of Persia so they can sell it to gamers for an extra $10....even though we're already paying $10 more per game than we did last generation! Then you've got "expansions" like the Zombie Island DLC for Borderlands. A mere month after the game releases and a $10 DLC is available...content which most certainly could have been included in the retail disc. And let's us not forget Capcom's RE 5 fraud and EA's unlock keys....Personally I find it beyond despicable and if it keeps up I already have a lifetime of games I truly love playing that I'll simply go back to. No need to shell out $60+ where massive portions of content are withheld until I pay for some absurd unlock key (which I'll inevitably lose if my console/hdd dies or when the online support ceases...); not when I have piles of games I haven't spent enough time on and dozens of obscure import oddities still left to track down and add to the collection.

yup - it's stuff where we are getting near day and date DLC where you pay for a 100kb unlock code for contents on the disk. That's completely unacceptable.
DLC could be/can be a beautiful thing but yeah ... we're getting shafted most of the time.
