What [not shmup] game are you playing now?

Anything from run & guns to modern RPGs, what else do you play?

Finished off Persona 4, it was a good experience all together! Only took me the year, though. Started Persona 3 but haven't gotten very far. A friend and I have been linking up on our PSPs and playing some Street Fighter Alpha 3... I beat him every time, but surely he's improving!

The lout sold his copy of Street Fighter IV for $5 which was totally lame because I got to play it with him. I'm picking up a 360 soon though and will be starting off with Mushi-Futari and Star Ocean 4 (nutha' hopeless Star Ocean fanboy here) but I will likely pick up Super SFIV when that's out.

Friend borrowed me Crisis Core so playing a bit of that, the summon sequences are FMV which is kind of impressive. :D It's pretty simple so far.

I love you, Aquas. I need SOIV so badly. That's what I'd be playing right now if I had it.

Phantasy Star ∅, now in my native tongue, and very enjoyable. Even though I'm in the middle of the tower. If anyone wants to play / exchange codes, drop a PM.

Whenever I can give that a break I'll start NSMB Wii, and get back to The After Years.

Still switching between Dragon Age: Origins and Borderlands on the 360, although I've just picked up Blue Dragon again so will be playing that through at some point in the near future.

My new laptop has seen a flurry of installs. I'm messing around with Civ2+expansions, Sacred Gold, Might and Magic 1-6, Morrowind GOTY and a more thorough playthrough of Neverwinter Nights. I'm pretty annoyed about NWNs as I picked up a second hand copy of the game with expansions and one of the expansion DVDs is missing. I've taken it back and need to find a another copy now. I can play through the original campaign from an old copy but I want all of the expansions installed so that I can make my game compatible with the 1000s of user made single player modules that are available.

Most recently I've picked up Phantom Brave: We Meet Again, but I'm having a bit of trouble getting into it so far. Been on a NIS kick lately though...

Oh, and I also need to finish up Muramasa at some point.

Duke Nukem: Manhattan Project

Surprisingly good. Not many psuedo-sidescrollers have been made recently and it uses the third dimension pretty well. Although Duke looks more cartoony than the guy from that Xbox / GameCube / PS2 sidescroller (whatever the hell it was called), overall the graphics are much better. Lots of little jokes as well; it's worth it to play at the highest resolution and with the sharpest textures possible.

Oh wow my god, Flower is absolutely AMAZING!

I'm not sure if I'll ever understand Tekken no matter what I do. I'm trying though.

It's quite short, but worth it if you love the original game. It's like SH2 + River City Ransom with a bit of Peanuts. :]

edit: also, the ending chiptune version of "Promise ~ Reprise" is actually pretty damn haunting!

Dragon Quest IV DS. It's cute, but a little frustrating.

Assassin's Creed 2 and I HATED the first 5 hours or so. Takes way to long to get good but it's hard to hate a game that let's you jump 30 feet and land with your two wrist blades in two guard's necks.

Just started my third run of Dragon Age with a grumpy and kill happy dwarven commoner. Awesome.

My future wife has also just got me Persona 4 and Global Defense Force for christmas. She is awesome too.

I'm also spending my co-op time farming for weapons with my level 50 soldier on Borderlands. I am trying to max all of my weapon proficiencies and work through all of the challenges (not the duels though, fuck that) so lots of play time before I seriously work on another character.

I'm considering another run of Star Ocean 4 soon, probably either on Chaos for the achievement or on Normal so that I can make a split save at the character swap point for the IC achievements as well as for Faize's battle trophy grinding.

I also want to get onto Mass Effect again to finish off my level 60 nice guy run and start up an bio character for all the neat abilities like Lift and Warp. Would like a nice spread of options for when the second game comes out in January.

OR2 CTC. I'd overdosed on OR2 when this came out so didn't bother. Ive got a new HD TV and component cables for my chipped Xbox and it looks as beautiful as any current-gen racer I've played as of yet. It's a far more user-friendly design that OR2 as well. Top-notch.

I picked up MotorStorm for the PS3 for £4.99 and at that price, I'm having a lot of fun. also picked up The Darkness for the same price, I fnished it upon release but on the 360 in SD, so replaying it again in HD is an eye-opener. I still think that it's one of the best FPS's to grace the current-gen machines, the atmosphere and sheer atmophere more than make up for the odd awkward section here and there.

Two battles left and I'll have beat Disgaea (PSP)! I'd like to beat the game in under 100 hours, but some serious grinding remains and I'm already at 90 hours.

Is that as in having beat the main storyline, or as in having beat the level 9999 guys at the end? I think it took me about that long for my first playthrough on the main story, but I also ended up spending way too much time in the item world.

Borderlands. I enjoy the mindless shooting and loot-grinding while I watch movies and shows on my computer to just wind down. Currently my Brick is level 24, and is pretty much the only character I like. I played Fallout 3 on Very Hard with Unarmed only, so this works. I wish I could be in Berserk mode all the time. =(

Pokemon Gold [just restarted, wished my speaker on my GBC wasn't broken, Gamesharked in a few Pokemon], Pokemon Emerald [also just started, emulated], and Pokemon Pearl [just started, beat first gym, got pretty far and forgot to save, No$GBA crashed when I minimized it, the whore.].

And I'm about to buy Pokemon Diamond. At least, once I get my DS back from my friend who was supposed to fix my trigger buttons weeks ago...
