Any news yet of localizing death smiles? I was going to pick up a u.s. console in light of all this region free cave business...maybe I should just get a jp 360 and be done with it but the cheaper u.s. versions are tempting.

get a japanese one and be done with it..... it's safe.
Damn Tim, you know there are quite a few Americans out there who still lives in tents due to this shitty economy, and you're dropping loads on a single game which only last 20 min. Do you think it's fair? How much did you spend this time?

I have both but my JP 360 cost me a pretty penny. In light of the news that Mushihimesama Futari was going to be region free naturally I am set in-case it happens NOT to be. However the cheapest I have found Japanese 360s right now is about 300 US dollars when its all said and done. And if you are going to be spending that kind of cash for just one game it tends to not be worth it. However if you are going to be importing a lot of shooters on the 360 from Japan only then its probably more worth your time.

That being said though I would love to see more of Cave (or any of JPs developers) localize more shooters overseas but we shall see with time.

And then shed a tear whenever you have to import shmups for $70 while your US buds can pick them up for $20 at Best Buy.

That's going to keep your eyes pretty dry. Not to mention any English releases, that will come months/years later (if they come at all), would probably work on a Japanese 360 anyway.

Yeah region free ones would work on any system. But RFA and RIV US releases were not region free. That said I'm glad I didn't feel the need to grab these two when they were J-exclusives. Now that they are US releases I'm quite happy with them.

It does stink that I now have to rotate both of my 360's into my arcade setup though...

It really depends how they handle the revisions to the games mentioned in the Kotaku piece. If like black labels they refines things, that would be great, but what if they dumb things down.

Who'd of thought it eh? Our little members club of enthusiasts and importers going all global. It's going to get harder for us to be snobby about mainstream gaming...

A vs fighter is absolutely ridiculous imo.

With Caves art prowess, a platformer incorperating the Capcom Sprites of old would be much more my cuppa.

Whats wrong with PS3 anyway? Stupid XBLA
