... there's more than meets the eye behind those 10s than just the usual (understood?) famitsu bias...
Btw someone on neogaf said famitsu gave the game 8876 ... and that the 7+6 cited difficulty being too hard - that would paint a different picture ... more or less as good as you'd expect from a mainstream point of view, even if you'd hope for more ...?

...Just in case any of you didn't get it.
Before anyone gets confused, both sets of scores are real. adversity's are from Famitsu 360, which reviewed the game earlier than Famitsu. Two different magazines.

I wouldn't get too fired up by that score. Death Smiles got that same thing, and it's pretty awesome. 7 seems to be the normal score they give almost all good shmups, and if it's a bit better than usual, someone sticks an 8 in there. I was expecting that score, actually. Galuda got that too. I was just worried they were going to slip into the 6's like they did with Mushi and Ibara.
Hell, SP2 even got a 7...come to think of it, so did Gradius V..what can ya do?
And yes, those were two different sets of scores.
And I think the unusually high score DOJ got was something of an anomaly, never to happen again. Perhaps they were just really psyched to have a CAVE shmup on a home system since DDP. And now it's like old hat or something, and they just give the same old crappy scores all the time now. I mean, I like Death Smiles 1.1 and ESPGaluda better than DOJ, but DOJ got the higher scores. I don't know what most of fandom thinks, but that's where I stand. DOJ is a good game though. SUPER frustrating, however.

Heh, finally got a chance to play this game at Arcade Infinity yesterday (I'm in CA for a business trip right now). Loved it, and can't wait to be able to play it at home! Just a little longer

I've talked to a few people today who are paranoid that the game isn't really region-free and it's just Kotaku trolling us-- to which I responded 'So? I'll save up for a J-360 right away!'
There's never a silver lining to some people.

Famitsu gave it 8,7,7,7 today.
7 is the magic number, I got them 7 days early.

Sent out all pre-orders for the Normal and Special Edition of this today, everyone got what they wanted no worries. You will get them way before it is released in Japan officially and a long time before other grey importers. Thanks for your custom.
Back to bed.
Cheers.

At this point I'm just nervous that NCSX won't even get a stock until way after the 26th, and a very limited one on top of that.

I don't know if they'll be limited, but I called them, and they said they would probably get them either Friday or Monday.Momijitsuki wrote:At this point I'm just nervous that NSCX won't even get a stock until way after the 26th, and a very limited one on top of that.

My Gold JP account expired a few days ago, and I could still watch it
So... is watching Hikari suck at MushiFutari some sort of failure moe or something?
...she was racking up achievements really fast, though.

Hey guys
question
I have a Japanese Silver account and I have both an NTSC-U and NTSC-J machine.
Could I watch it on either one?
I can't wait till my order comes in. I placed an order for both SE and LE.

You can watch it on any region 360 so long as you're logged-in with a Japanese gamertag.

Oh man I am stoked for this game to finally get out over here. Been waiting a long time for them to announce a Mushi Futari port. Also a question though. If they are doing a JP Black Label DLC service. Can I log onto my JP account on my US 360 and purchase JP points that way to get the DLC?

Not unless you have a Japanese credit card. You'll have to use a Japanese Microsoft Points card.
