Machinarium - fantastic little point and click adventure game with some ingenious puzzles and a truly gorgeous art style. Great soundtrack as well.

Critter Crunch - quality puzzle game on the PSN store, again with beautiful hand-drawn artwork.

And Yet It Moves - interesting platform game, with a weird collage-like art style - not quite as appealing to look at as the previous two I mentioned, but somewhat unique looking at least.

Halo and Marathon 2. I suck at Marathon 2, on the 3rd area, and I KEEP DIEING. Also, really limited ammo. And I sucked at Halo, I HATE assult rifle matches, I could shoot you at almost point blank for 6 seconds, and still not kill you.

Picked up my old savestate from Thief II: The Metal Age which I had almost lost due to a harddrive crash. 12 missions done, 3 to go. Outstanding game, almost as good as Thief I.

Been playing a fair bit of Dragon Age: Origins on the 360, and having a jolly good time in the process. Just nearing the end of the game with my Noble Human Warrior and, even though it doesn't last as long as the developer repeatedly stated in interviews, it felt suitably epic and involving. I can always tell that I've enjoyed an RPG when I am thinking about my next character build while playing through the first time. What I appreciate the most is the scope for true role playing. There are lots and lots of interesting decisions and possible party combinations and I can honestly see myself plaything through every Origin to completion at least once over the coming years. Game of the year for me.

Also finally got hold of Borderlands which seems like some real high octane fun. I've gone off FPS over the last 7-8 years or so, maybe more, but I'm enjoying the mix of twitch skills with interesting skill trees. I can see some of the constant respawns in certain areas will become annoying but it is a small price to pay for such a large free roam (level restricted) environment with the constant pull of loot potential. So far I'm favouring SMGs but I would like to level up my abilities with all guns. Looking forward to setting up a little 4 player co-op when I've got a bit more of a grip on the playstyle.

A little Castlevania III.

i was playing Castlevania 3 for the 1st time ever last week aswell. I got sick of it at dracula's castle on the Alucard path (the long stage where you fight the giant bat mid boss for the 2nd time). Ill probably revisit it when ive some more paitience for it, although the nes castlevanias are quiet unforgiving.

Excellent new Diablo clone by the ex-Diablo/D2/Fate/Mythos guys, single player (mmo version in the works), 2hr demo, 400mb download, 20$ to buy the key, laughably low sys reqs. Started a couple days ago, playing VHHC (very hard hardcore) right off the bat.
