Woo, yay! Got through most of level 3, but I didn't reach the boss... unholy amounts of luck were involved in my survival I suspect, Progear throws a LOT of shit at you.

Picked up a nice Raiden Fighters Aces for $10 shipped!!! Been running through the whole series. Lot of Nostalgia with Raiden Fighters, checking out 2 and Jet for basically the 1st time.

Been playing Futari 1.5 Original mode mostly, with a bit of Xbox DeathSmiles mixed in.

I've never really clicked with DS somehow, but I do like it. Somehow I just don't feel compelled to keep at it.

1943 Kai on Capcom Generation 1. This game is manic as hell... first time getting beyond the fifth stage, and I couldn't believe how much shit was flying about onscreen. Managing ammo and fuel while fighting off the hordes is surprisingly addictive. This is how to do a lifebar shooter.

Been praticing Recca today, mainly stage 4 on normal, i managed to get through for the 1st time the whole boss run with only dieing a couple of times (this is mainly thanks to writing down the order that the bosses appear so i could get ready for them. Plus using blasters on the last boss helped a great deal)

I still havnt completed start to finish normal mode but i should be able to do so tonight

Plus i played a little of the hard mode for the 1st time.managed to get to area 4 in on my 2nd attempt (man is hard mode way more harder then normal mode, the amount of enemies on screen is staggering! People who havnt seen hard mode say recca is a marvel of programming for the amount of stuff on sceen without slowdown, after playing hard mode all i can say is that they havnt seen nothing! ) I played on a emulator does the console play a smooth in hard mode? (or the zanki mode which i havnt tried out yet)

rRootage, Cho Ren Sha, and Noiz2sa. Installed Linux on 3 machines at school [fucking apt doesn't work though, so we have to install the .debs + dependencies by hand... eeagh!]. Used these to test, and all of my friends suck at rRootage. One managed to lose all his lives in Noiz2sa on level 1 [HOW, I don't know, you actually have to try to die with the hitbox being as small as it is...], and no one wanted to try CRS.

Progear. Not really playing because of the tournament, more because ESPRaDe is boring. I learned the whole damn first loop in two days, but I've not been able to string a whole run without fucking up in 1-4 three or four times. The scoring is boring, so I never have any lives. That and I can't seem to get the extend item. I've gotten it...once?

Edit: damn this hard ikaruga clone is damn addictive although im glad its only a 1 level mini game since i dont have the time or the skills to play a full game as hard as this atm.

so far ive got over 2 mill and a chain of 44 with a rank of average in normal mode. For those who have played this does playing in hard mode increase your score or your rank?

After countless tries I finally managed to clear that damn stage 5 today. Of course I had a save-state at the stage beginning for practicing.
There's so much to memorize, I kept forgetting where I should be all the time.
Gonna try to survive to the final stage next.

Me and one of my friends kept taking turns in class with the 2 machines during 4th period [one Windows, running Halo, the other with Linux+Wine and Shoot the Bullet]. He loves StB now. Oh, and everyone else in class sucks at Halo. I'd feel sorry for them if they wouldn't keep going on about how awesome they were. Just shoot already! He's the only guy in class that consistently kills me, except for this one kid in first period [who isn't even in the same physical room... and we had a sub that period, we usually actually do work then.]

PS: Well, during my turn, I played Val and Rick mostly, StB made me want to hurt people.
PPS: I REALLY SUCK AT HELLSINKER.
