Print runs of uncommon/expensive shmups
Print runs of uncommon/expensive shmups
What are the numbers of copies made for hard-to-find shmups? How about a late-era DC game like Under Defeat or Border Down? Is that similar to the number of copies made for an expensive PS2 game like Ibara?

According to NCSX, they mentioned that DC Border Down LE set was limited to 3,000 copies pressed and no more. Made sense to get it when it was available at retail rather than paying through the nose later on. ^_~

The number of known Ocean Commander copies on PS2 in existence in THIS universe are 2. The remaining 9.998 copies have been brought to another parallel universe where they are easily available.

There are just around 800 or so copies of Darius Alpha for PC Engine. It isn't worth more than $15 US in gameplay.
Ginga Fukei Densetsu Sapphire also had a low print run, like a couple thousand at most. Unlike Darius Alpha, there is a full game in Sapphire. I'm not sure its a $300+ game, but its there.
