Patriot Dark vs. Solid State Survivor
Both have scoring systems heavy on the approach, chaining, and bullet cancelling. Which do you think is the better shmup?
Two working class dudes, one black one white, just baked a tray of ten cookies together.
An oligarch walks in and grabs nine cookies for himself.
Then he says to the white dude "Watch out for that black dude, he wants a piece of your cookie!"

Re: Patriot Dark vs. Solid State Survivor
I personally love PD, and could never really get into SSS. For one thing, SSS looks pretty rough, and PD is a very nice looking doujin game. However, I never really play doujin games for score, just for completion, so I can't compare the scoring systems. I actually tried to figure out PD's scoring system once, but couldn't
. That said, I wasn't trying very hard. There's the obvious DDP-style chaining, and but then there's also stuff that looks inspired by Ketsui and Galuda that I couldn't figure out.
