Any way for a PS2 to boot without going on standby?
I have my PS2's in my cabinet now, I have to open the door to turn it on. I know its a slight inconvenience but I'd like to give the effect of a PCB lol.

I'm also interested in this. AFAIK, those timer cards for PS2 has something you somehow connect to your on-switch, but I don't know exactly how it works. I agree that opening the door is a PITA.

Hit up P-Man on ArcadeOtaku or JAMMA+, he might be able to help - I know he was doing something for this a while back.

the ps2 mgcd i got came with a little thing that you stick by the on button on your ps2 .when power is fed into the timer pcb it pushes the button.. it is totally rubbish and not worth the effort. .. would a ps2 remote work??

I put my slim ps2 under the CP of the AWSD - It just fits side ways in the centre compartment. However, the start button rested on it causing the game to pause. If you drilled out the plastic inside to make more room it would be ideal and easy access.
