It sucks because I got it early and there is no online option yet. I know a few people out this way in the LA area have it, but we can't play against each other. Cockblocked!Lordstar wrote:is that even out yet?

We had this one at our shop ^^
Re: Awesome stuff you've just bought (+pics please)
Bought the frame a little while ago, but finally got it built the way I want. Still have to remove the logos from the from S80 and get it painted. New job at SRAM is awesome.
Cinelli x MASH frame
SRAM S80 front wheel w/ Tufo tubular/clincher tire
SRAM Omnium track crank
SRAM track chain
Old Mavic Open Pro/Miche track hub rear wheel (first wheel I built back in 2001 - still hasn't needed a true)
Race Face bar, Cinelli track stem
Thompson Masterpiece seatpost
Atomlab pedals
Hold Fast straps

Wow, didn't know you were into bikes. Did I ever show you pictures of my Nagasawa?
Hope you ride that baby into the ground.

Yeah - been in the bike industry since 2001. Love to ride. Been commuting to my new job at SRAM in the 40 degree rainy, windy weather and loving every minute of it. Last job was a 3+ hour commute each day by car.
Here's pics of my other rides:
1994 Cannondale Track

2006 Cinelli Super Corsa Pista

Sorry for the fuzzy iPhone pics. Love to see the Nagasawa - his frames are super nice! BTW - selling my Javelin Vigorelli prototype track frame - 55cm, white on white, exact same frame seen on the website. Only 1 of 2 painted like this. If anyone's interested, hit me up for pics and info.

Wow dude, I had no idea. Had you down for a car guy since you posted about driving a porche on cave-stg at one point. Ill bikes though. I would be interested in your Vigorelli but right now I'm looking for a new road frame actually. Can't find any good sizes in Japan...
Here's my Nagasawa, not the greatest pic but eh:

Very slick rig! Yeah, bit of a car guy, but really dig riding.
Did you get that frame from Nagasawa? Always wondered what he was like to deal with.

LM1881N + other parts for sync separator circuit, and a new iron tip, woo!
Re: Awesome stuff you've just bought (+pics please)
Not my picture, but I don't have a camera and I just HAVE to share this..

What I paid? $9.99. I win. Very decent condition, too.

There was a local classic gaming expo today. I was a bit surprised by the price, because the guy had a lot of other rather obscure stuff (Bubble Bobble 2, Bomberman 2 NES boxed/mint, etc.). He should have known better.
I guess it's only desirable in limited circles, but those circles are pretty hard core about looking for them.

Man that Cannondale makes me want to finally get my bike fixed up. I have a touring bike in the same color, but I trashed a wheel this year, and the fork is bent from a crash last year. I have bad luck with my bikes, taht's why I got a hold of a cheap Huffy, which had a wheel stolen...

Boom, yeah I did get it directly from Nagasawa. It's a funny story, a friend of mine is a total bike lunatic who knows tons about bikes, and he had some colleague at university that had some sort of vague connection to Nagasawa. So he used that to get us into his workshop in east Osaka and brought me along to interpret. After we were done working out a bike for him, Nagasawa turned to me and was like "what about you scrub" and I was like shit, yeah make one for me too. So normally even though you have to wait a year or so to get a bike from him, we got ours in about a month. My bike is a custom road adaptation with brake holes and a bottle holder (although this got taken off in a car accident : /).
Nagasawa himself is a nice guy but you better know your shit about bikes before you even decide to bother him. I learned a lot while he made fun of me
. Hehe. My friend and I still keep in touch with him. We sent him some Waseda beer after we both moved to Tokyo a couple months ago.

Awesome story. I heard that indeed you better know your shit - and also that frames can take up to a year. Very cool rig.adversity1 wrote:Boom, yeah I did get it directly from Nagasawa. Re: Awesome stuff you've just bought (+pics please)
I've actually got a Cannondale myself (an F400 mountain bike that's about 11 years old now, and I haven't used in a while) that I really need to get back into shape and get back to riding. It's still at my parents' house because I don't really have room for it in my apartment (although I could probably find somewhere to put it if needed), but it's too nice a bike to leave outside.
Re: Awesome stuff you've just bought (+pics please)
Good riding in WA too - I grew up in Seattle and Bellevue. C-Dales are great rigs. Man, I should start a bike thread...

Re: Awesome stuff you've just bought (+pics please)
Got a set of 12 of the Macross Fighter Collection. However, shown in the pic is only 5 of the 12 fighters.

Re: Awesome stuff you've just bought (+pics please)
Yes, this area has some nice biking areas. I used to ride on the Sammamish River/Burke-Gilman trail a lot, and there's quite a few other spots that are good as well. If I was more motivated, I could probably even commute on bike pretty well here.
Re: Awesome stuff you've just bought (+pics please)
i need to get a bike....public transit is getting too expensive.....and people/crowds bother me to no end....
i plan to get one for the spring....although i feel very awkward on a bike....im too used to skating....

Some recent acquisitions, little battery-operated things for bedroom practice because I suck.

Boss MT-2 pedal, VOX amplug Metal, Fender MD-20, and Roland Micro Cube RX.
Pretty happy with all of these, actually. I have only been playing for a month so I am not too picky about sound. If they sound bad, it is because I am a poor player. Not worthy of posting in the guitar thread for a long time.
I do wish the MD-20 could be louder when the drive dial is turned all the way down though, and I had to stick my own rubber feet to the bottom of it.
