Certainly some interesting stuff. I still feel that Stolar was made a scapegoat by the Sega community... I used to be part of that crowd. Mob mentality applies, even on the internet.

If I recall correctly - I like Melf from Sega-16 but he's on that bandwagon too. Stolar got fucked over by "hurr we know bests" Sega JPN doing whatever the hell it wanted (when it had already a bit of a track record flubbing the domestic US market).

This is true, but I think there's plenty of blame to go around.

What exactly was true and not about Stolar? All I've heard about him is bad things involving Sony in the first few years of the PS1's life, and Sega and his involvement with the Saturn and the Dreamcast.

The only thing I don't like about the interview is that on this side of the pond, I felt they were pushing the fuck out of the system, taking it in crazy directions (not all that I liked). Karaoke and shit like that (which japanese presumably do). Doesn't seem to match w/ his story that they just gave up on it. Hindsight is 20/20, and there's 2 sides to every story... and all that shit.
