Achievements are a joke. Only the hard ones have any purpose apart from proving you wasted your life playing a bloated game. Naturally, this isn't in reference to Futari. I'm sure everyone knows what I'm talking about, whether we agree or not ^_~

And thus, you learn why they implemented the system in the first place.

I remember reading an article saying games with easy achievements are proven to sell something like 10% to 15% better than games of the same type that have reasonable ones.

I'd say there are too many variables to really believe this statement but I remember reading that from one developer as well. Its hard to imagine that in practice. What kind of gamer bases their next purchase on the achievements in the game? Does that mean they would have to pull the achievements up online before purchasing? The games with easy achievements may sell better for countless other reasons... If the achievements were on the box it would be a different story.

I'm pretty sure all copies will have it until they start releasing a second print.
Awesome. Can you say, potentially the best port ever?
RFA is amazing and all, but five (?) or six (?) or nine (?) unique modes of one of the most warmly lauded CAVE games ever, PLUS its BL DLC, seems pretty hard to beat.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to this shit hardcore.

Best port ever is Daioujou. Can't say much about Futari right now. Not until it's out. M2 are doing the port and everything seems to be going well so I'm not really worried.
Preordering this made me remember how overpriced new console games are in finland, I preordered futari with 50€ shipped while game stores in finland sell new 360 games for 60-70€

A lot of kids on Xbox Live. Competing for gamerscore with their friends, etc.
Anybody who owns Avatar: the last airbender

Yes, many popular sites track them.
xbox360achievements.org gets most of them before any game comes out.
Thanks, I was actually aware of the achievement sites, but to think someone would pull up the achievements before they buy a game, and for enough people to do so that it shifts sales 10-15% seems like a stretch. I don't think 15% of people pull up achievements before they buy a game is all.
On Topic: With so many modes I think I'll have to wait until I can play to really understand the breakdown. I'll have to play to see how it changes gameplay. My HRAP EX SE just arrived and I can't wait to use it on Futari.
http://www.videogameimports.com/ has the regular edition it for preorder for £53 and £3 postage if your in the UK. I dunno is this the best choice for me since i live in the UK?
It probably works out about the same as buying from play-asia, after shipping costs and possible import duties. Plus, they get the game in stock in the UK the day after the official release date, meaning you'll likely get it sooner than had you bought from abroad (current postage strikes pending, of course).
