looks i may have to give evidence :?

and on top of that, my hours are being cut down to 30 a week. even being as frugal as possible, i'm probably going to be losing £50 a month in living costs; and that's if my hours aren't cut even further

great :?

well hopefully you learned something from this whole debacle....

if you hadnt left the body where it would be found the investigation would still be ongoing...you cant charge somebody for murder without a body  ...i recommend multiple bags spread throughout the city.....double bagged with pepper spray to keep animals out of them

hypothetically speaking of course

also, on tuesday, they finally took off the black metal bars off his windows, and the big black metal door in the hallway to his flat door. there are still bits of police tape on the floor x.x

they're gonna enter a plea on april 24th. if it's guilty, i probably wont have to go.

these things really do take ages

the lights were on last night :o
i wonder if he's come back from the dead?

there was a white van outside as well last night, which is back here again today. it's unmarked

at first i thought maybe they were removing his possessions finally, to give to his family. but nothing's been taken in or out as far as i can see. maybe more forensics, but it seems way too late. maybe they're just cleaning up the blood? ~_~;

Well, it sounds like his life may not have always been so miserable... well, in between the abusive father and alcoholism, there may have been some less depressing times in his life. Innocent until proven guilty, I suppose, not that I'd likely read his biography.

Glad you're in the clear, of course. Just don't bring up the fact you play such violent video games at the trial. No motive necessary... sometimes, those gamers just snap for no reason! Avoid that kind of language: "snap", "headshot", "sonic boom!" etc.. ;)

october 19th - see you in court :!:

i'm a little bit nervous about this now. basically the guy has pleaded not guilty to murder, but guilty to manslaughter. and that's presumably on account of this guy being such a cunt, and they didn't intend to actually put him six feet under. the newspapers have been evangelical about "the local musician and former soldier" (funny how they don' mention that he was kicked out of the forces...), and i have to be the guy who says "no, actually he was a racist alcoholic, and you would've wanted to kill him too had you lived there" :? not sure how i feel about that

and even though i'm not the one on trial, i think i'm gonna be a bit nervous in the courtroom

anyone had to go to court? they've given me a little booklet about what to expect, but it doesn't really help you with what the atmosphere and questioning/cross-examining will be like. any and all advise is appreciated

Depends on the country.
If it helps, i have been to some trials in germany (only watching, of course  ) and it was all nothing to be nervous about.
It won't be as exciting as you imagine it is.
I blame that on movies and phoenix wright ;)

Incidentally, one of the first handfull of Millennium shows has the same device (episode The Judge, which aired 15 Nov. 1996).

Anyhow, good luck jpj! You ought to say those things, if the guy was provoking people that does change things a bit.

i'm a bit spooked today

they got sentenced way back, the guy got 13 years for murder and the girl got 6 years (5 for manslaughter, and 1 for perverting the course of justice)

hadn't even thought about this for a long time, but i actually bumped into the girl today. she's now 21. only served 2 years in prison for helping to kill someone - crazy

she didn't remember who i was, probably best to keep it that way

edit: i did get thoroughly cross-examined when i had to give evidence and it wasn't pleasant, but i'll prob keep those details to myself still  but i had previously had some run ins with the deceased

You erased the original post. Very hard to empathize... or even know what happened other than a murder. I assume the victim wasn't a cat?

I remember the original story, but if he decided to delete the OP, better not post it here again without his permission.

I don't think the girl could get back at him by checking this thread, but I guess you never know.

If he doesn't want the story to get out why draw attention to it by bumping it with an update?
