Gynoug. Love to see that audio/visual style with some ProGear-type bullet hell.

+1 for Mars Matrix.

I'd like to have seen a Zero Gunner 3, too.

Something a bit older I think. Paradroid, but a sequel that's sympathetic to the original game and not the Unreal engine powered soulless effort it would undoubtedly be if it ever happened.

In my mind, Batrider is THE sequel to Garegga. Regardless, Batrider 2, please.

ESPRa.De. never got a proper sequel (ESPGaluda doesn't count).
YES. Also agreed about Progear, and would love an R-Type Final 2... Of course, Irem would be more creative than we are and come up with some really weird subtitle.

Its nice to see a game using the same bomb machanic as Recca but just looking at the vids Pink Sweets is abit too different for me.

About Zuns Shoot the Bullet there may not be a sequel but some1 has made a clone (suprise suprise  )

Speaking about clones, i would of though that with the multitude of Touhou and other cute em up clones been made that more ppl would make clones/ remakes of some of the classic arcade shmups.

Yeah, Konami kind of needs to haul ass with this one... I mean, it's ridiculous. It would certainly make PS3-owning shmup fans happy, to say in the least.

For the record, while I don't own a PS3, I have a friend who does. And, as of late, he's become very jealous of my shmups.

I've played that, it's pretty bad. Funny how shameless it is though.

- Gynoug 2
- Varth 2 (with in-game autofire)
- Raiden Fighters more Jet
- Battle Mania 3 (could it be even better than its predecessor?)
- Area 89
- Batrider 2 (without the auras; could make the ships charge up their shots/options like it's done in Batrider, though). But, seeing that people wouldn't like to see most of the hidden enemies from the previous game be reused here.. I don't have an idea of what could be done on that matter (add Mahou/Dimahoo's final boss? Add Mad Ball?), or if it's best to not try to force a sequel for this game.

- X 2 (X is for Game Boy, it would be released outside of Japan with the name Lunar Chase)
- Image Fight 2 (I had the NES version, would like to see how would a sequel look like)

A true sequel to ESP Ra.De. with artwork by Jun.

Same thing with Guwange.

A better ending to the R-Type series than Final.

A worthy follow up to Thunder Force IV.

G-Darius II(made by G. Rev and Taito).

The follow up to RS and Ikaruga dammit!!!

Mystical Chase-followup to Magical Chase (Strike Witches?)
Coryoon 2, as previously mentioned
Darius as done by G.Rev would be good, although this Burst thing doesn't look too bad
Salamander, Thunder Cross, Gradius, Parodius, others-more Konami done WELL. Call up Treasure or whoever if you have to; just make them good games!

5pb was working on some sort of extra mode for the Ketsui release which was going to be a lot like their BLEX extra mode, i.e. shitty bullet cancelling mechanics piled onto an existing classic game. I'm honestly happy it wasn't released so we were spared the sight of it.
