they'll probably have it pretty easy since you'll likely be able to credit feed (so in other words, easy in the same regard as DDP BLEX), but what I'm hoping for is just 1 or 2 really tough achievements to seperate the men from the boys. Something along the lines of them leaving in the original requirements to fight spiritual larsa, and have an achievement that requires you to beat her or something (of course since it looks like Black Label is going to be paid DLC, this would probably have a watered down effect in comparison to one of the "original" achievements). I'd be satisfied with a 1CC on ultra achievement.

Has there been anything on if those of us who have non-J360s have access to the DLC?

Well since XBL is tied to your account and not the X360 itself, I would imagine that worst case, you have to create a JP account to download it. Once it's on your hard drive, you can log into your main account since the DLC is tied to your specific xbox in addition to the account that downloaded it.Momijitsuki wrote:Has there been anything on if those of us who have non-J360s have access to the DLC?

actually... XBL content, while tied to your account (so you can download it again afterwards if something comes up), its actually tied to your hardware to... so, if login with another account, you can still use the downloaded content in its full version... BUT if you take the HDD to another console, you ahve to login to be able to use the downloaded content (the full version, that is).Solarus wrote:Well since XBL is tied to your account and not the X360 itself, I would imagine that worst case, you have to create a JP account to download it. So there's no cross-region issues with playing a Japanese game on an English account? That's a relief.

BLEX was handled by 5pb though, their achievements were pointless. Cave did a good job with DS achievements though, as there are ones where you have to 1cc the game, do some other odd challenges (pacifist run on a level, see the bath scene 10 timesPsikyoPshumpPshooterP wrote:hope theyre easy as DDP BLEX teeheeheeSquare King wrote:So I don't normally care about achievements, but has anyone heard anything? Heh.
Futari is likely to be the same, actual achievements that you can't just credit feed through (though there are some), which is great.

Uggghhh....Why do Cave LE's get worse Boxart than the standard? It's like they want to punish you for buying the better version by giving the standard the better art...or maybe it's so you'll by both so you're not embarrassed about having a game that looks like a pervy dating sim.hirounder wrote:limited edition boxart

I like both.
I think I like the LE better though.
I also prefer the LE DS artwork, think the normal DS artwork is awful.

The LE of DS was more pervy, and the LE of Futari is more...hmmm...cute.
I guess i'll go with the originals. From a purely artistic standpoint, I think they are both drawn and colored quite well. I'll always remember sorrow of the ESPGaluda cover..
You know, if they are ever going to localize DS and maybe even Futari(even after being region free....it could happen!), they are really going to have to think about the artwork for these covers. They just aren't going to appeal to a lot of Westerners. Especially Westerners looking for a good shmup. You would think these games were some kind of girl games or something from the covers. They need to give 'em that American squinty eye thing they did to Kirby and Sparkster.

I think the LE version would look better if it wasn't so blurry.
It's really cute though, which is nothing but a plus in my eyes.
Besides, isn't the LE box art just a slipcover over the regular box? That's what I was thinking at least.

With DS, the art on the actual game and the slipcase were the same. So there were actually two different DVD case covers--one for each version. Assume the same is true here.Momijitsuki wrote:I think the LE version would look better if it wasn't so blurry. It's really cute though, which is nothing but a plus in my eyes.

They could both easily get confused with some garbage jrpg. I suppose I like the LE version a little better, but I thats really only because I already dedicated $120 to it, objectively I could go either way.

Instead of the carefree happy scenes displayed above, mass market focus group testing would probably result in changing the cover to highlight the scenes of death in the game. Resulting in new cover art showcasing a Gears of War-esque monster insect piercing her heart, and changing the title to Bug Wars.evil_ash_xero wrote:they are really going to have to think about the artwork for these covers. People seem to forget that the Final Fantasy series, games with plenty of girly characters and unmasculine emo-pop crap is incredibly popular in the West. Why does everyone use an awesome game like Gears of War to prove America's insecure, homophobic tastes?

Gears Of War is so manly that the LE of it came with a pair of testicles, just in case yours weren't big enough.
