Lets say: I simply dont like the Overall Design of Trizeal. I think its butt ugly and its boring.
Do you like every woman, because its a woman? PS: I´m playing shmups since 1981 (age of 10).

I´m married, got a son and a fulltime job and also my reactions are not the same they were 20 years ago. So don´t wait for my highscores or do you wanna challenge me in a certain "Non bullet hell" shmup?

I actually haven't played Trizeal, if I can find a way to do it for free I might. Not a huge fan of many newer shmups really, as can be seen by my pathetic Strikers 1945 II score in the ongoing STGT

Well, it's not flame-bait, that's for sure. I just truly despise the game, and when I think of "worst ever", it's honestly the first thing that jumps into my head. I'm sure that there are worse ones, or more broken ones, but they're honestly not jumping to mind, and that's probably because of the following:

There is a clause there, sir, with a very important operative word: "that you have ever *played*". When I think "lousy shooter", BG is the first knee-jerk reaction. It was an insulting shooting experience at a time when shooters were far more prolific than they are now, and usually had a lot better quality. I'm pretty sure I've not hated any gameplay mechanic more than BG, and if the play's not there, I *truly* don't see how you're going to defend the game based on, say, its aesthetics.

Robotron can vouch for me on my hatred of the game. Am I supposed to make up something based on a game that I haven't played just so the myriad BG fans can feel better about themselves? They can love it all they like! I don't care! Bully for them! For me, though, the game made me hate it to the extreme, and that's the truth.

Look: Viewpoint's my favorite stinking game of all time, in any genre. How many people are going to agree with me on that? How many would even agree with me that it's the best shooter? Do you think that bothers me, or changes my mind in the least?

I'm not a troll...just a opinionated old-school shooter fan. So sue me.

The type-in Space Invaders clone that I copied out of a "Learn to program BBC Basic" book when I was twelve years old. It had one alien ship descending from the top of the screen and the player craft on a fixed X axis at the bottom. If the player ship was over the one side of the screen and the enemy spawned at the top of the other, the speed of the player craft wasn't fast enough to be able to make it all the way across until the enemy had hit the bottom and cost you a life.

I spent hours typing it in and couldn't believe I'd wasted a part of my life on it when I finally got rid of all the typos and 'played' it for the first time. It was another thirteen years before I even considered learning a programming language again.

Seriously, unless people here have experienced something like that, a lot of you should probably keep mouths zipped. Almost this entire thread's like a fight to see who can submit the most stupid, uneducated post going.

The shit-tastic Grid Seeker is currently the worst shooter I've played, if not ever then certainly in a long time. Just looks and feels like an early SNES shooter, doesn't seem to have any real discernable ideas, personality or soul to call its own, real lowest-common denominator crap.

UGH! You are *so* right on that statement, there. Used to have a buddy who actually *sold* his Neo-Geo version because he "liked the way the PS1 version was shaping up". I told him time and again, not to do it, but he went ahead, and he regretted it something awful.

My first, true love is, of course, Viewpoint on the Neo-Geo. Accept no substitutes.
