If you don't mind waiting a bit, Amazon is ten bucks less and has free shipping for both 360/PS3.

Mine arrived today...so it only took 3 days...

Metroid Prime Pinball, I'm guessing would be one of those, since it's genuinely great also. What others (maybe I am missing out)?
One of my favorite topics: portable pinball.

My absolute favorite is:

Kirby's Pinball Land

It's probably my favorite digital pinball game, definitely my favorite Kirby game (by far), and I'd probably list it as one of my all-time favorite games generally. Unlike Devil's Crush, my other favorite digital pinball game, and unlike most Kirby games, it's reasonably challenging.

Some others that I rather like:
Sonic Pinball Party (GBA)
Revenge of the Gator (GB)
Pokemon Pinball (GBC and GBA)
Disney's Little Mermaid II: Pinball Frenzy (GBC)
Pinball of the Dead (GBA)
Metroid Pinball (DS)
Flipper Critters (DS)

I think most people here agree that Sonic Pinball Party and Metroid are strong titles. I'm not sure how much others will agree about the others. I suspect that some others here will agree with me that Kirby's Pinball Land is the finest portable pinball title or at least in the top 3.

Anyone know if that new Williams Collection is region free? I have it on PS2, but definitely want it for No Good Gophers, Tales of the Arabian Nights, and Medieval Madness. Just not sure if it will work on my JP 360.

Someone on the "Gamefaqs-forum" said that the X-Box 360 version of this
game is not region-free. Hard for me - I can´t be sure if
europe will see a release of this game.

It's set for release in Europe under the Williams Pinball Classics title.

Word on the street is that the US rev. is totally locked. Unfortunately, I don't have my J-360 around to confirm.

Damn, I was hoping this would be region free as I only own a JP XBox 360. This being said, I have played all 3 added tables in the wild in the past year, so I can't complain. My visit to the Pinball Hall of Fame in Las Vegas was pretty awesome.

After spending a significant amount of time with PHOF: Williams, I can only say this:

It's in the running for best game ever. It just feels so damn good.

not sure if anyone has mentioned the ones on the amiga already as i couldnt be arsed to read thru the whole topic but:

Pinball Dreams
Pinball Fantasies
Pinball Illusions (a1200 only)

wasted many an adolescent hour playing on the first two on my old a500. These btw the finest example of pinball games and you'd do well to track em down!!

On the Atari Jaguar, there are two pinball titles worth owning for this so-called 64-bit gaming system: Pinball Fanasties and Ruiner Pinball. Looks great with an JPN 21-pin RGB cable hooked up to an XRGB-2 on a CRT-based SVGA monitor setup. I had tech-god Matt Ross make me the JPN RGB cable for my Jag and it is fine for what it does...wouldn't settle for RF switchbox, composite video nor S-Video output. Sure, there's the rare official Atari branded Euro SCART cable for the Jag to consider as well. ^_~

What's the phrase you kids use these days? Epic lulz?

http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c36/P ... hScore.jpg

I had forgotten what it's like to play a three hour game of pinball (thanks Austin Powers in St. Joe, Missouri). I don't want to do that again...either physically or virtually.

It would have been higher, but I ran out of time at 5am and just ingloriously tilted until my last free ball drained.

I'm sure Purple Vomit or some other chap will come along in the next week and post a 100 million+ score. That table is so easy score is only dependent on free time.

I just got the PS3 version in the mail today and somehow found a few spare moments to check it out. HUGE improvement over the Wii version both by the addition of the further (awesome) tables and the HD graphics. Better than expected.

Pinball Fantasies is coming to PSP. I think it's an update of an old Amiga game. I haven't seen any screens yet.

EDIT: I see now Guardian Knight has mentioned the amiga version just above. I think there may have been a SNES version as well.

Totally off-topic, but has anyone perused the Twin Galaxies pinball pages? Good god. They're almost as bad as the shmups scores.

Classic quote of the day. Cool to hear that Zen Studios is hard at work in creating a new table for their fans to d/l and play. ^_~

I'll make no bones about it. The new 2009 HD enhanced Williams Hall Of Fame (judging from the PS3 version which I now have) is the best video pinball game release of all time. Yes, even better than Last Gladiators on the Saturn. I'd dare even say Williams HD clearly surpasses Visual PinMAME - at least the version of VP I played some years back. And it absolutely embarrasses its recent rival Zen Pinball / Pinball FX...

The table designs in Williams HD are impeccible and superbly playable, the ball physics simulation is the definition of perfect, the audio is retro bliss (and in the case of the PS3 version even includes DTS support), camera views are suitable (best are probably Full Table Cam 1 or Full Table Cam 2 depending on the table), and the icing on the magnificent cake is what appears to be full native 1920x1080 rendering (turn glass reflections off to see the table art in all its glory).

And it's not even being sold as a full price title.

Some reviewers of course don't seem to care so much about pinball, and instead have been criticizing in vogue things like the achievement points/trophies and online leaderboard functions... whatever... forget about that, if you love pinball then you have to own this.

Ain't that the truth. I recently went back to PFX after getting the 1000 in PHOF. I won't be doing that again. I knew it was all wrong before, but I still had fun with it. Now...well...I realize just how much it friggin sucks. Boo @ basketballs pretending to be pinballs.

Once again:This is the very best pinball game to date. Can´t stop playing this gem!!!

Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2

The new table for Zen Pinball is out now.I have a lot of fun with it and I think it`s the second hardest table in this collection(after V12)

Looks really good and has tons of features. Here is a short trailer for the table:

I always thought that that Zen Studios' V12 pin on the PS3 Zen Pinball compliation series was quite notorious for it's difficultly factor alone.

Great to hear that this new-fangled Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 pin game is up for d/l...seems like it got delayed a bit. Also quite reasonable at the low asking price of $2.49 USD on the USA region PSN site. Just gotta go down and score another PSN card with some credit on it to buy it now.

Went down to my local Gamestop and was browsing the PC software section...spotted some budget PC titles. Upon closer inspection, there was a budget $2.99 "Chicken Pinball" PC title with six different pin tables to choose from. Bought it right away. It has a copyright date of 2004 labelled on it though.

Gottlieb Collection Wii port was released in the US yesterday. From what I can tell they really didn't update this to the standard of the Williams collection-- unfortunate. I don't think there are any new tables, but I don't have the older releases any longer to compare. Hopefully I'll get to check this out more carefully soon.

Believe it or not, it was just a few weeks back that Best Buy was able to get an exclusive stock of the new Wii Gottlieb Pinball collection for a mere $19.99 USD. I didn't scoop one out when it was offered for sale but did see it advertised for sale though during the 2009 Christmas shopping season.
