Bosses that SCARE you... to death!

Which bosses do you come up against is shmups that actually scare the shit out of you? You know, that you actually have feared- not just feared dying on. As in, I feel pretty cool on R-Type stage 7 (even though I've died every time), but sometime a boss will get my pulse rate up and give me a cold sweat, even though I've beaten them many times before.
And then there's the idea that you play worse when you're scared, so they beat you with their main weapon, FEAR!

EXAMPLES:
On Giares: the spinning boss at the heart of the spacestation has always scared me to death.
On R-Type II: the boss that moves away from you fast in the tunnel maze.
On Dodonpachi: the last boss (not hibachi). I think he's going to do fast blue bullets and I can't keep cool.
Shienryu: the octopus boss- I ALWAYS beat him, but for some reason I always get a feeling on the approach along the lines of, "Oh shit! this is going to suck! I'm dead meat!".

I guess it's bosses that you have the skill to beat, but they somehow make you THINK that you don't! Man, those are good bosses!

Non-shmup/ NES Contra: The robot in front of the base that throws the spinning disks still kind of freaks me out when he walks so fast toward you and starts doing that jump kick over and over

Evacaneer DOOM - Gives me a 'lol. Pwned' feeling after it beat me
Cinderella Amber - some 'impossible' bullet patterns (especially the slaloming bullet spamand the bullet spammer)

Zodiac (stage 7) - lol I can't figure the missile - laser spam so that I could waste all continues there
Zodiac Libra (Final stage) - the missile - laser spam, now with 2 annoying bits that fires 2 different shots (deflectable and standard) beside you.
That REALLY FREAKED ME OUT: Stage 3 boss of In The Hunt and final boss of XII-STAG (lol you're in a human's body?)

The maze boss in R-Type II scared me to death until I figured out ways to beat it.
The tunnel boss is more of an adrenaline rush.

This topic is made for Pink Sweets Stage 5 boss.
This boss is just too much for me. I've beaten it like 3 or 4 times, but the fight just takes forever and ALL his attack patterns are incredibly blood/adrenalin-pumping for me. On top of that you're not even allowed to die once on him or you'll lose all powerups and have no firepower against this monster.
When I think about this boss, I'm happy I've sold the PCB.

The 6th Encounter/Episode boss of R-Type Delta. I know it's a rehash of the original boss but this version annoys and scares me so much and despite I can effectively beat it, most of the time I'm at the brink of insanity.

Utsuho's last spell and pretty much her entire battle on Subterranean Animism put me in fear. Fucking explosions clouding my vision and evil hitboxes drive me mad. And the gravity well is just plain destructive.

Oh! Stage 2 boss from DoDonPachi. It is not hard but when you know the last charging attack comes at full speed and you are using the slow ass C-ship...

There are many more I guess, like King Fossil in Darius Gaiden, but those three are the ones I've recently been trying to beat without feeling so much fear of getting my ass handed.

Queen Fossil in G-Darius far harder than King Fossil. Especially due to it's damned tail gun and turret emplacements.

I laugh and laugh at the football robots from Contra, especially the arcade version. Hop skip and a jump and they're done.

Hmm, lots of bosses start me panic bombing, but once I get accustomed to them it's not so much. I have yet to figure out how to avoid bombing the second boss of Thunder Dragon II at least once, and it's the same way with RFJ bosses past the first two (I think) too.

Exept the 1st level 'Train man' Boss which has gotta be the easiest end of level boss of any video game.

I'd say the stage 3 boss, especially when it already behind you.
stage 5 mini boss (trio flying tanks). Wow. I got panicked suddenly after it approaches.
and of course the final boss, especially while dealing with the main gun.
