Fuck the last boss. What pisses me off is that I already got his patterns down (Well, sort of, I need to bomb it like three times to destroy his turrets cleanly )... when he gets to its last form , it gets real EASY.... but I always get nervous, and make a mistake there. When he's about to go down, flames start show up... and then dozens of different popcorn enemies appear everywhere, my mind goes like "OH no, you are going to screw it up now, you are going to screw it up now"...... and guess what happens.

I think I reached last boss today 5 or 6 times, and screwed it up on it everytime. Of course, when I actually got there with more than my last life AND a good suply of bombs, I tried to dodge between the turrets patterns instead of bombing as always, so I had to face its last form with just my last life and no bombs.... Stupid me

Still played better than yesterday, when I was screwing up in earlier levels. 2nd boss is responsable for like 9/10 of my restarts.

I'll take a break for now..... but I'll be really pissed if the week ends and I haven't beaten the game.

Sounds like me. I suddenly cannot beat the 2nd boss. I get there with 7 bombs and instead of using 1 i use none. Restart. Get there again. Use 1, die. Restart. Use 3 (2 more than i use). Then i die on normal fire during the stage on stage 3. It's getting annoying. It should be nothing new, I do this on ever game i play.

YEAH! FUCK YEAH! I really celebrated here when I did it. What's funny is that my wife's family is here (well, her grandmother and aunt), and also my mother, for a "family lunch". The women was on the kitchen have a talk, so I decided to go for one more credit of this while they are there.. and what happens? I finally beat this bitch... I really let off a scream of "FUCK YEAH!!!!", and everyone came here to know what the heck was happening .

My score sucked though, it was one of my worst runs score-wise, made lots of small mistakes, my score on stage 1 was real low and stuff... if it wasn't for the credits blow-up at the end, I think this would be lower than my previous score. But whatever, this one is down, and I want to take a break of it for now..... or maybe I'll give it a few more goes later at night and see if I can at least improve my score I really enjoyed this game, shame about the emulation bugs and stuff. If this had a home port, I'd certainly go for it.

Edit - Damn, I only went 1 position ahead in the scoreboard. That sucks, it felt so good to finish the game, and now I see my effort didn't make that much difference. Need to work more on my score tactics now..... gaaah, can't we have another week of this?

This happened to me a lot. I started just eating the first life and trying to hold it with the rest.

Then I discovered stage 6 with the goddamn grey bullet sniper planes and regretted not keeping that first life.

Thanks . I practiced it a lot too... what's funny is that it's like I knew everything I had to do to beat it, but actually *doing* it was really difficulty. And still, on that parcticular run, I wasted EIGHT bombs on it. I got there with 4 bombs and one life in stock still, used 3 bombs on the first form, got the extra bomb from the airplanes still on the 1st form, used a bomb as soon as he "changed" to the final form.. used another one, died, and then proceeded to use the other 3 bombs when the bigger enemies begun to appear on its final attack.

I don't think I could ever do it without bombs. The first form while it still have all 4 turrets is completely crazy!
