The most amazing thing about this guy is that he DOESNT HAVE A COMPUTER AT HIS HOME. He's usually playing in a bar that have an arcade cabinet with a mame setup. That's why he had to sit out in the RFJ week, because they didn't have the RFJ rom.

He's playing without auto-fire, and he actually has to PAY for his credits. It's pretty amazing indeed.

If he could play at the comfort of his home, practice with save-states and shit, I'm sure his scores would be even more impressive :)

Edit: He did play RFJ. He played it at a cyber-cafe, asked the owner to download Mame and a RFJ rom so he could play it :)
 This guy wins STGT.

Very minor improvement but I think it'll bump my rank up a notch on the board. I'm getting much more consistent and have a ton of Saturday open where I just might play this, among some other games.

I have this PCB, and confirmed its Mame thats the problem, not the game design. Both enemy bullets and medals seems to have a lower sprite priority in Mame.

Must... stay... ahead... of the curve... Died on the stage 4 boss. If I want to improve much from here I'll need to practice better bomb conservation/learn how to consistently shoot all the letters at the start of a stage. At least I've got my 100 points in the bag, even if it's only because most people aren't trying that hard >_>

I was going to sit down and type up a guide for the first three or four bosses, but life got busy and it was put on a back burner after typing up the first boss strategy, and starting the second. If any of my team mates still want it for these last couple days, let me know. The hectic bullshit from the week is over, and I can finish it up and send it if it's needed.

I love this game, very old school 8) Only one strategy, destroy everything as fast as you can :)

And i dont understand what all your guys are saying about invisibullets, for me the bullets are more visible then the 2 previous game (for the 2nd boss you better not be epileptic though). I hate the 3rd boss with those flamethrowers, still have trouble with him.
The only problem i have with the game is that panic bombing is not working :s

And gratz to LUY

I ended up playing more when I realized I was in third-to-last place. I still don't enjoy this game, though.

Man, some of you guys play a bit critical. I think the game is fine. Its just nice to play any shooter. We are doing this for fun, anyhow. Oh well.

I was just hoping that we'd play a game where a dragon was at least involved, as opposed to just simply having the word in the title.

It's not a bad game outside of the horrendously annoying announcer... who needs to shoved into a wood chipper ASAP. But the bullet visibility does leave something to be desired in my opinion.

Finally got to spend a bit more time with the game. Haven't had any problems with hard-to-see bullets, must be something to do with different MAME builds.

bah, this just keeps happening and on this run I decide to make it my goal to reach stage 5 finally. I did and I fucked up badly. that's what happens when you don't bomb enough and get sniped because someone should have been dead when they weren't.
