Man, I was even going to offer you a place in Horsham as a last, last resort (it's a 2 hour journey!) but this is also the only weekend where I can't do that! There must be a crappy Travelodge or something?

Going to learn a Follett score route and the Canyon for next time. I can do everything on that stage fine but the inital ascent. It took me ages to do Stage 4 on Progear too - there's something about horizontal games going upwards I just can't handle.

I could stay at that hostel that I spend most of my time in London at, but I do feel like I've spent way too much money on such things this year so far, it's also expensive getting to London and back.
It doesn't look like anyone could help though, I'm very used to bad luck at the moment anyway.

Hmm, looks like I'll have to use that hostel again.. the prices have dropped there it seems, so I won't be too upset with staying there.
Shame that no one can help though.

In good news, I think I'm understanding DeathSmiles some now :D

Updating to say that I will be there on the 26th, got everything sorted.

I'll also be going to SVB this weekend, but as its far from the centre of London, I will most likely only be in Casino on the Monday morning.

I'll be dropping DDP:DFK in this week or next. Since I will be down this Thursday that'll probably be the day.

I'll be at SVB on the Saturday.
Next weekend my folks are coming to visit so I'll only make one day, maybe not even that.

Nice one - thanks so much Taylor.

I've been continually absent again. Such busy bloody times. I'm off to Bestival this weekend, and then on a work trip to the States the following weekend, but I really will try and get down Thursday 17th or Friday 18th, and the following Thursday or Friday too.

Can't wait to get my eyes and hands on DFK again!

I played 2 credits of DFK at IC'09 and loved it. Shame I won't be around much to take advantage of it being in Casino :(

Went to SVB, didn't do too well in the tournaments, but did quite well in general when not playing in the tournament matches.

Played a few credits of MBL at Casino too, put my name on the scores a few times, but didn't get any massive scores.. will have to do that in 2 weeks time :D

It's been too long!

I want to come down on a weekday this week or next to get DFK installed for the meet. It's likely I won't be able to attend the meet myself, but you guys should have fun beating my crap scores*. My only problem outside of getting up on time to leave early with flexitime is how I'm actually going to transport the board down. Need to find a decent container for it... Don't mean to keep bringing this up, just wondering the best way.

* Serious. This will get more play in a week there than it has at my flat, my setup is so bad. Gotta get a cabinet or something.

Go to your local pound shop and look at the tupperware selection, I managed to find one that fits an SH2 board very snugly so it doesn't rattle around and of course the container is non-conductive. You could also add an anti static bag and bubble wrap if you can't find a vessel with such a perfect fit.

Good call. Went to the pound shop and grabbed the most appropriate. I didn't know a small, featureless plastic box could look pikey.

It should fit snug, albeit at a jaunty angle. Failing that I have a massive box packed to the brim with bubble wrap and an anti-static bag.

Might be down tomorrow, I guess.

Popped in last night to catch Chi 'The Pig Mask' Chi not playing Thunder Dragon 2 and instead bunking off on Deathsmiles! Then I showed him how it was done by loosing all my lives in two levels!

Sadly, only just finished work so no Casino for me tonight...

You'll be with me in spirit Skykid. I might actually even get to interview (Star Wars ruining cock) George Lucas. I'm more interested in seeing some Monkey Island stuff, but I don't think any of that is at Skywalker Ranch anymore...
