i ask because i have galuda in a cab with a 3 button panel....if it accepts this code until you turn it off i could just wire in a 4th button and keep it inside the CP and just use it to swap so i get rapid fire on c...i rarely use the shield anyways

thanks for the info guys

The Canadian, top hat wearing kind, no doubt. I'm betting he's using Kakusei's auto bomb when the heat is on. But soon, Mr 5 will learn that the shield bomb does play a part in scoring well.

haha....no...i dont use the kakusei autobomb unless i fuck up by accident and get clipped

i always play with a no bomb strategy regardless of what game im playing.....i very rarely bomb....i would rather die a lot at first until i get more familiar with the patterns than get a bit further by bombing....

as for not having a bomb button now....i will probably only need the shield on the last boss, and i dont expect to be meeting him for a little while.....next month im getting 1player panels for my astros, at which time i will have a shield button again

mind you, i added the 4th line when i got home and i played a couple credits with the full auto on c.....dunno if i like it or not....its fucking with my timing.....i will leave it for tonight and see if i get more used to using it, but other wise i will just go back to tapping

i think the main thing that is wierding me out with is because shield was on C i never touched it really, so it feels weird using it now and switching back forth with A.....

i will probably end up going back to tapping just cuz im used to it already

Using the shield bomb on the first stage mid boss will give you lots more popcorn enemies = lots more gems = about a million more points. Using the shield bomb on the second stage mid boss = quicker kill = lots more semi big enemies = about 2 million more points IIRC. Watch some MrMonkeyMan vids and you'll see.

Yes, load it somewhat, then drop it on the main part, so that you can get gems from one of his "arms" (those side things) and use that to get gold from the other arm (IIRC, that's how MMM does it) I however had a quite hard time pulling that off, so I just used the bomb and made sure to get gems from both arms that I used on the last bit of the boss. Also when you've killed the first mid boss, stay in overmode as long as possible without killing anything and watch the score rolling. This will also give you more gems later in the stage (when you've reached the point that the visor around your character isn't visible anymore.

I wondered why he was doing that in the vids. Will have fun trying this tonight.

I've scored at best 3.1 million I think. Then 'round 10 after stage 2 and 18 or 19 million after stage 3 IIRC.

The timing element of ESPGALUDA's scoring is very pertinent to the overall fun of the game IMHO.

ok...so i definitely need to work on scoring for the second stage, cuz im usually only at like 4-5mill after the second stage

i think just working in what you suggested for the 1st stage will bring that up .....but im obviously missing a lot of scoring on the second stage and same on the third....

im going to study those vids today....see what he is doing and how i need to modify my runs to work some of his strategies into my own

at this point im getting most of my score from the second half of the 3rd stage and into the 4th

thanx for the advice emph :D

That's what I did. The great thing about the game is that you can score well in so many different ways. But the most important thing, save lots of gems for an area where you know there's lot's of heavy firing enemies, hit Kakusei and WAIT until the first shots near the edge of the screen, then slowly kill the enemies responsible, one by one. Do not leave Kakusei "just to save a few gems", because hitting that button will steal more gems than waiting in Kakusei a bit longer will. Also, each time you exit/re-enter, you're resetting the multiplier IIRC.
