Would anyone sign a petition for a Compile compilation??

Post by dave4shmups »

Seriously, I don't understand why Aiky wouldn't do this. I don't know how much money it would cost them to do this, but even if not all of Compile's shmups were on such a compilation, a lot of people would still buy it.

And that matter, how about another Toaplan compilation? It was mentioned in this thread:

http://forum.shmups.com/forum/viewtopic ... ts+compile

that the folks who own the rights to Toaplan's shmups have supported the Ultracade cabs; so what's stopping them from putting together a compilation of Toaplan shmups for next gen consoles? :?

In any case, if anyone's interested in a Compile compilation, I'll go ahead and write one which we can email to Aiky. But if this is a complete waste of time right off the bat, PLEASE tell me, I won't be insulted!

The Japanese company that owns the rights to most Compile stuff (Aiky?) has shown zero interest in doing anything with it. An internet petition from a bunch of non-Japanese people will do NOTHING.

But didn't you see how well that Progear home port petition worked on the old board. :P

I would be happy to sign, even if it won't do any good. I am completely obsessed with Zanac Neo right now. I enjoy thinking about what power-ups to use when, the game looks freaking amazing, and the music/sound are tops. The levels are a bit long and there are a ton of them. I can't decide if this is good or bad.

I'm still waiting on the results of my Dennin Aleste 2 petition.

They will capitulate... in time.

I would sign a petition asking to Moo Nitani, whereever he is now, to gather his old crew again and form a new company. Doesn't have to be named necessarily Compile.

Why don't we do something a little more productive, and write a petition for world peace.

Because that would be as useful as make a Compile petition? (I.E. completley unuseful) :D

Once everybody in the world sees the beauty of Compile's games, and starts playing them, they'll forget about killing their brothers and sisters, and world peace will be achieved.

Then space invaders will come to wipe us out, and war will start over again, but this time as a desperate struggle for the survival of the human race. *Cue Thunder Force V music*

Then I'm afraid that Rob here is a major threat to world's everlasting peace.

Ironically, I can only see the "beauty" in Zanac Neo. I liked the aesthetics+music; I didn't liked the game.

The music in Zanac Neo is awesome indeed. When I first heard the Zanac theme remixed , I nearly cried.

No, Actually I indeed cried

Heh :D

Zanac Neo is perfection in the form of a shmup.

And I'd buy a Compile compilation for sure. I still think Aiky should do an Aleste X Aleste , like Herr Schatten once said :D

Ah, to heck with it-Aiky'd have done something with the games by now if they wanted to.

Why is Aiky letting companies do cell phone versions of Compile games and not doing anything with the consoles except for ports of Puchi to Nya? IMO, they stink big time. I'm actually glad that SEGA got the Puyo Puyo lincense. They are actually doing somthing with it. I actually like Fever quite a bit.

I think Aiky is really small, and hence doesn't have the capital necessary to do much. It's still pretty sad, as they're just letting all the things they have rights to rot away.

Developing for Naomi can't be that expensive, can it?

(Come on, Aiky. If you are reading this, remember those years when you worked on Sega systems. Yeah, I know the MSX is the one you hold most dear, but please remember Power Strike 1 and 2, the GG Alestes, Golvellius, and the revered port of R-Type you did. And Musha.)

I'd sign! :D

But only if perfect copies of the originals are included! Not just "souped up" stuff please!

Confused

Post by D »

I'm confused. [suprise]

On what system is the ComplileATION to be based.
MEGA DRIVE ComplileATION
Sega Master System ComplileATION
Game Gear ComplileATION
Super Famicom ComplileATION

Or just Sega or Nintendo ComplileATION.

Do you get my point?
The compilation would consist on games that were made for other systems.

So they would have to be rewritten or via an emulated mode.

I Mean what's the point?
I allready have the ComplileATION on Dreamcast.
I have these versions:

-MEGA DRIVE ComplileATION
-Sega Master System ComplileATION
-Game Gear ComplileATION
-Super Famicom ComplileATION
-MSX ComplileATION

and probably some other ComplileATIONS

Petitions should only be used for games that are not released outside of the arcade (on a home system)

ALL people that start petitions for games that have allready been released for other systems should go to hell

Well I will probably got to hell anyway if religious people I know are to be believed so i feel free to contradict you.
Not everyone has all the systems these games came out on nor are planning to. Emulation can be nice, but some people prefer the "real" thing, as in rewritten or at least not on emulation of another platfrom way.
I'll play the originals everytime I can, but a handy (perfect) official compilation for one console with the back catalogue of Compile would be purchased instantly by me!

Read my previous post.

OK I get it, hail to compile!

I guess I'm just angry because everybody wants to start petitions for games that are released for every console but their own and then they want to petition for a release for their console.

Nobody responded to my Under Defeat for DC petition request

Progear Petitions
Raiden Fighters Petitions

Nobody?
Am I the one that's crazy then. (say YES)
