Podless up to stage 5, no-miss up to stage 9. Improved strategies in stages 5, 12, and 17 (it finally dawned at me that walls don't kill you in this game). Lost my last spare life in stage 18 and somehow carried on through the next five stages despite encountering them for the first time. Racked easy points on bosses and stage 20 before finally dying on Steel Golem mk2 (a very unfortunate death at that). Had I survived, I would have received the extend and got to ~4.7–5 million. But the 27 hours of playing Varth end here.
