I found it didn't fit either, actually. My theory was Stage 2 was going to be another desert when it was composed.CStarFlare wrote:See, the stage 2 music is good, but my first impression was that it didn't fit an ice stage very well. Part of me thinks tropical when the track starts.![]()

Link not working for me.

Re: [X360] Mushihime-sama Futari Ver. 1.5 announced.
Link worked for me and Hell yes, that looks pretty damn good
. So it seems like the option slows the bullets, bit like Guwange... Later in the vid all the bullets seem to slow like ESPgaluda. Is normal Futari like this? And why is November so far away.

Does seem like they Guwangified it a bit there. Your option is the other character, from what I can tell. Also seems as if you can deflect bullets, and your counter on the lower right goes down when you do. Interesting.
This also looks much harder. Given the success and popularity of DS 1.1, I certainly hope this has Free Play.

Uploading to MediaFire right now. Edit: http://www.mediafire.com/?ljwucxmdmeqbrokenhalo wrote:link no worky. can somebody upload it elsewhere?
Btw, the ice stage looks awesome, with (what looks like to me on the rather crappy video) those snow flakes falling over the screen.

Unless I observed incorrectly, it looks like you can switch between them, shooting as one and deflecting as the other, sort of like being able to shuffle between shot types in the original's Arrange mode...it certainly looks cool from here, hopefully this one will live up to the expectations.evil_ash_xero wrote:Your option is the other character, from what I can tell.

I play it with Quicktime player.
This mode looks fun but is this Mushi with Giga Wing? It will probably make Larsa a joke.

Re: [X360] Mushihime-sama Futari Ver. 1.5 announced.
I dunno, he'll probably ask MS to let the game be region-free, or maybe to help out Cave to find western publisher. I'm bit pessimistic about MS really allowing region-free release though, but we'll see.
Re: [X360] Mushihime-sama Futari Ver. 1.5 announced.
anyone elses video only 6 seconds long? Playing it with MPC-HC, it plays but just shows the character select. Not too interested in installing bloatware players atm
Re: [X360] Mushihime-sama Futari Ver. 1.5 announced.
I tried playing it in WMP, and I got the same results. If you play it back in Quicktime, it'll last up to stage 5. Perhaps you can transfer it to your cell phone and watch it that way? The video has no sound btw.EPS21 wrote:anyone elses video only 6 seconds long? Playing it with MPC-HC, it plays but just shows the character select. I watched the video last night and am suitably looking forward to it.
It looks like it auto bombs when hit also like the PS2 arrange mode.
The region coding on a disc is not up to MS but lies in the hands of Cave as it depends on if they want to have a worldwide submission of code or not as although it helps with importing, the game is unlikely to be published by Cave outside of Japan so it is likely to be region locked based on how other publishers work.
That's why most Activision games and MS first party games are region free. It means you don't have to submit code for each individual territory.

Can't see why they would care.hirounder wrote:I'm bit pessimistic about MS really allowing region-free release though, but we'll see.
Ghostbusters (360) was region free in the US allowing us Euros to import it over for our Euro machines even though it was exclusive to PS3 for 6 months here.
Always thoughtthe region lock thing was the publishers decision?
Re: [X360] Mushihime-sama Futari Ver. 1.5 announced.
This is MS Japan we're talking about here, not US/Euro, there wasn't a single Japan exclusive game release so far that wasn't region-locked, so reading between the lines they are obviously rather strict about it. But ok, maybe Asada will make them change their politics, like I said we'll see.Wonderbanana wrote:Can't see why they would care.hirounder wrote:I'm bit pessimistic about MS really allowing region-free release though, but we'll see.

Re: [X360] Mushihime-sama Futari Ver. 1.5 announced.
I'm pretty sure Mushi 2 will be region locked. In makes sense for the publishers: hold out for a potentially lucrative overseas publishing deal rather than just shove the product out and hope it sells well based on the word of mouth of a particularly core foreign fan base
Then again, I've no idea what to expect from this new, fluffy Cave. I guess one of the big draws of XBox 360 is the fact that it is an intrinsically international platform through its lineage, and you would expect Cave to be mad to ignore the nerd/weaboo audience overseas.

From the post on the cave blog below, they actually listen to us overseas shmups freaks.
below is taken from the cave site:
Thank you all for your mail.
Here are the results of our Xbox Live Arcade survey.
1. Guwange
2. Esprade
3. Dodonpachi
4. Progear
5. Pink Sweets
6. Mushihime-sama
7. Dangun Feveron
8. Muchi Muchi Pork
9. Espgaluda
10. Ibara
We have received many requests from our overseas users for region-free versions of our games.
"Death Smiles" was released only for Asia, but the region for "Mushi-hime sama Futari" has not been decided yet. I believe it will be decided around the time of Tokyo Game Show 2009.
We are very happy to have received so many e-mails from overseas.
Thank you.

That joystick is mighty tempting even though it's just a generic HRAP EX. Why doesn't Cave get Hori to put together a quality stick for these games? It's not like they're cheap.
