Otogi Matsuri - Inoue Junya's Manga

Tonight I finally finished reading Otogi Matsuri. I had the first 7 volumes for a while, but it wasn't until really recently that I got the remaining 5. Glad I was finally able to finish it. I'd happily recommend it to the folks here who can read Japanese. (There's no translation, official or otherwise, that I'm aware of, but I could be wrong.) Actually, it's mostly an action series, so I guess you could probably enjoy it regardless...

Several characters from his games (ESPRade, Guwange, etc) show up in the series. Casper from Deathsmiles even gets a tiny bit part. So yeah, great art, lots of traditional-ish Japanese monsters, and lots of explosions. Well worth reading.

Yeah, worth checking out for any Junya Inoue fan. I've not seen them all, but I used to own 3 or 4 random issues and thought they did justice to everything else he's done

Pretty sure there was a thread about this ages ago... and maybe even the links to the now hard-to-find translation. AFAIK, the ssries was purchased by a US company, but pushed back to some ridiculous date. The art is great, but the story is just kinda there. The ending was cool, although I'm a bit confused as to exactly what happened. Definitely violent! Apparently his new one (VDOOM) is also pretty bloody.

I believe the first compilation is due out next month. He had a poster for it up at his booth at the Cave event last month.

Cool beans. I have a friend heading out to Japan in Nov, so I might be able to convince him to pick it up for me. This one will also be much easier to ask for by name than Otogi Matsuri.
