Warp_Rattler - Shooting Snobs - 454,700 - 4 - Fixed - MAME(World)

Seemed like each credit I threw at it, I managed to get a little farther, or discover another point item. The game's pretty damn brutal, though, and I still need to get used to the ideas that A) bombing is good (but not too close to the stage's end) and B) your bombs come back. Smart pods supposedly keep the rank from increasing as much as fixed, but the wonky bullet absorption really doesn't make this as helpful as it should be. I'll take the greater bullet storms in exchanging for knowing just exactly where my ship IS protected (until you get to the boss whose shots pass magically through your pods... fucker).

At first I was kind of enjoying this game.

Now I just want to swear so proficiently I'm not comfortable typing it out, even here.

I meant I saw no difference between wiggling as fast as I could and doing so at a speed I was comfortable with.
Ah, alright. I misunderstood.

TodayIsForgotten: I'll make a post about how fast you have to do it until doing it any faster doesn't matter soon.
I"m really not sure how to interpret this. I will continue to wiggle about as fast as I can... which is, pretty damn fast.

I really didn't like this game at first, but it's starting to grow on me. The train boss is awesome.

Was on a slump, unable to beat yesterday's record. Had a few swigs for the first time this week, and true to the team name finally beat it.

Yeah I don't understand that either, laser seems perfectly fine in some levels.

LtC - Team Downrank - 3,396,600 - 17 - Smart - MAME (World)

And how does the extra digit glitch exactly work on the st4 boss? Also what kind of end of stage bonuses are there overall? How is the 'perfect' bonus triggered?

I got the podless bonus at the end of level three because I had died but not grabbed my pod item. I have no idea how to get the glitch bonus, but if I did I'd've already reached my goal of seven digits...

there is different scoring between different versions of the roms, we should specify which version of the game to play.

Redsun used more than one credit, that's all. He probably didn't know. Dex, you probably should add 1 credit only and no old scores to the first post.

Edge - Gothloli Luftwaffe - 3'288'500 - Stage 18ish? - Smart - MAME (World)

I am sorry, I have no idea what stage I was in. But it was probably twice as far as I have been in that game so far (Stage 18ish?). I triggered the boss bug and after that I mainly tried to focus on survival. All the slow down in the game helps a lot to dodge or safe bomb unknown enemy attack patterns.

Kindof a bullshit run. No-missed to 10, died twice in about 5 seconds, same for stage 14. Uugh.

Fuck the Dragon Fly, I burned 2 lives on that bastard. No-miss up to there, then lost my extend life on the asteroid chains on Stage 9. At least I broke 2 million this time.

Hard Gay invasion!

moozooh — Team Hard Gay — 3,094,600 — 15 — Smart — MAME (World).

First time past stage 10. Only two stupid deaths. Stage 4 boss glitch captured, stage 9 perfect bonus captured. I'm amazed it went so well.
