Anyone shmup-ify their vehicle(s)?

I think a subtle airbrush job w/ details resembling those on a shmup ship would be a nice accent, but not painfully obvious. You could even go the Gradius route & do the real structured, angular lines you see on Vic Viper mock-ups or renderings, and throw a number or two on there to give it that shmup look/feel, but still look like some kind of racing-related thing. As long as you don't go too overboard, and the car itself is nice enough to warrant spending the time/money on the paint job, it could produce sweet results. I'd never spend that kind of money on my car, however. It's a '97 Buick LeSabre w/ a dented side (previous owner's fault), a slightly dinged up hood (my fault), and an already ugly stock color (some sort of weird burgundy). Now, if I had a pur white car, or perhaps something in a flat silver or black, that might be a different story...

My old Taurus had a Llamasoft sticker on it, does that count? >_>
