Toy Strikers - MMO Armada clone

Here's info on Toy Strikers, an MMO shmup that looks like Armada (for those who have played it on Dreamcast).

This looks kinda cool, you can link ships together like Voltron for better attacks. They have a short demo movie, but it doesn't show too much gameplay.

No word on the NCSoft site on when it's coming out.............

Drat, here I am waiting ages for a major shmup MMO and when one does come out... they decide to give me something that looks like nintendo's Wind Waker. This could have been really compelling if they took some more time to create an atmospheric setting to play in. Oh well I suppose any folks presently looking forward to Milestone's Radirgy can look forward to this game too.

I like how they coined the term MMOSG - Massively Multiplayer online Shooting Game. I don't have too much hope for Toy Strikers, however I hope this opens up a new line of multiplayer shmups........maybe something horizontal some day.......

With this and the new Twinkle Star Sprites having online play, there may be hope for more online shmups after all...........
