I'll wait a couple of weeks after Mishihimesama is released to buy it cheaper on a second hand shop here in Akihabara. I made the mistake of paying almost 10,000 yen for Deathsmiles LE and you can buy it used (like new for the non Japanese) for 7,500 yen.

I know that the "Death Smiles " LE is avaliable on Play Asia again for a ridiculous price. However before the game was released all the pre-orders for the LE of "Death Smiles" sold out on Play Asia and there was trouble meeting all the orders. So I was wondering if anyone remembers how quickly the pre-orders for the "Death Smiles" LE sold out and if I should expect the same with "Futari"?

I guess the answer is they kind of didn't, as it happened that any preorder over a certain number (3000 i think it was) wasn't guaranteed, an email was sent out to that effect, but then they filled them anyway.

So they took orders on spaces they thought they couldnt fill. Hope that makes sense, confused myself now.

Prettys sure they did, for a bit. I had people beating my door down to get them some (but JPN shops were sold out as well). YJ had tons though. Shops didn't. Stores (including Amazon and I guess PA) restocked a couple of weeks later.

That's an interesting number. It indicates to me that a substantial amount of overall sales for that game were non-Japanese. In other words, a significant amount of Cave's profits for that game came from overseas players. I wonder if that number only relates to the LE? What are the current total estimated sales for DeathSmiles? It's around 40K isn't it?

They were allocated within a range of Play Asia order reference numbers, I don't remember any actual PA sales figures.

Why would it be as low as 3000 then if it accounts for pre-orders of all games? Given how long PA have been around, you'd expect a bigger number than that.

The Deathsmiles LE was pretty disappointing, but the arrange OST for this should be worthwhile. Even if it's still crap, I'm probably going to be one of the few to preorder the LE.

Yeah, I'm definitely getting the LE, stage 2 and 5 have great music. Especially 5. It's no 黄泉の華 though.
