Yup, I'll probably grab a couple growlers of something or another from them.

Are you bringing the wifey? Please say yes! I don't want to be the only female there again LOL.
If I am able to go my girlfriend will be coming along also, she'd be glad to know she won't be the only girl.

Sadly I haven't gotten her to play any shooters much. I think it's more disinterest than intimidation or anything like that. It'd be awesome if someone could change her mind though.

I am RSVPing with my lady friend for at least Friday into saturday afternoon. I will in fact bring PS, though I two demand someone, anyone, please for the love of god bring MMP or let Boom borrow it if you can find it in the kindness of your heart. As my tax money is getting dented to fuck with either Ketsui or MMP, and I'd really love to try it before I make that choice.

I guess I'll formally RSVP.

What time are things getting started on Friday? I'm trying to figure out which bus to take (should have acted earlier, prices already went up since a couple days ago :x)

Sorry THE! My wife won't be coming along. She definitely belongs in the "disinterest" category. My 6 year old daughter has played shmups on the Egret II with me, but my wife has not even touched it, if that tells you anything.

Looks like we are going to have a crowd, drboom! Can't wait!

I will see if we can get Joe T. to come with caldwert. He has MMP. If he cannot attend, I will see if I can get it on loan for us to enjoy.

Just my opinion, but you should go with Ketsui... :D

This does sound like it should be pretty packed! :) Should be a lot of fun - I'm really stoked that there are such good people out here.

I've been kinda waiting to see if Joe T. pops his head in here - caldwert - can you hit him up? I imagine he'd be coming up with you anyways.

MMP would be awesome, especially since I tried twice to get it this past year and both times it fell through (bad timing). mrtie, I'd have to say Ketsui over MMP as its probably the greatest STG evar, but MMP is still an awesome game. One of Cave's/Yagawa's best.

I've been racking my brain for a contest title and I have a few ideas - Star Soldier Special Version (2-minute mode) for the NES is the old school title I like (have to get the carts made) and for a modern title, I'm not sure. I like the idea of a round robin set up and brackets. Want to stick with console titles so as to leave the cabs open to the massive amount of pcb love that will be in the house. I have DOJ, ESPgaluda and a bunch of Soldier titles.

Anyone have any ideas?

Looks like I will have the fourth cab on the way soon - another Astro City I'm picking up at a smoking good deal. I've always wanted a second candy cab, so this gives me good reason to get this one! Now, if I can find a Konami Windy, my life will be complete!

Oh boo on her not coming but yay on your 6 year old mixing it up! Our 8 year old is a shmup fan too and loves to hang out and play for a bit when we have some shmups ppls over. Our 2 year old is way into shmups too but I think its just because she likes the xbox360 stick we have LOL.

It looks like I should be able to make it to this one. Some of the family were looking for an excuse to visit Chicago, and splitting the driving with me will work well. Hoping it works out this time!

I think he's gotten more expensive actually. I did get a copy of Layer Section for the Saturn (JP) for $14 a little while ago, but most of the rest of his gear is pretty spendy.

Still not sure if I can attend or not. I will have to speak with Joe T. about MMP. Also, is there a need for Pink Sweets or does someone already have that covered? If I do attend, please feel free to ask me to bring crap up there. I'll bring whatever anyone wants to play, even if it is a non-shmup game.

I'm working on it. Perhaps I can bring the Aero Table up there, ok just kidding as its quite the pain to move around the house here. If I do show up, is there any interested in a JP 360? I didn't see if anyone already was bringing one. I have Death Smiles, DDP DOJ BLEX, Otomedius, Mamorokun, and some others.

Ha, ha, "Aero Table"...like those things exist...

Oh wait...now I remember...2 tons of pure glass and metal...

It does play shmups though!

mrtie has PS, caldwert. If you can't make it, I bet Joe T. will let me borrow MMP. We cool like that...

Hi all, I don't have any cabs and I've never been to a shmupmeet before but I can be of some use perhaps. If any one needs help transporting a cabinet I do have a pick-up truck and I'm willing to help move 'em around the chicagoland area. I'm loacated about 80 miles southwest of Chicago.

Ah yes, I'll bring along my Japanese Xbox 360 and games :D

Is there anything else that I can bring. I have a very wide array of consoles and games to go with them… including many obscure games.

If there are any request, I will do my best to provide.

Hey! Mister Tie just gave me the heads up on this one; if I can get myself a car or a ride by then, I am definitely in. I can bring a supergun and Ibara, and if you guys want I could bring a 20" TV or two. I also have a PS2 that'll play anything, but I'm sure there are seventy of them coming already.

I live in Washington County, southeastern Wisconsin, so it shouldn't be too much of a drive. If anyone is coming from WI, I'm down for a carpool. I might be bringing a friend or two along (probably just one, but if the other one's in town, he'd probably come), so whatever. We're just college kids, so hopefully we can sleep on the floor or something :) No shortage of sleeping bags here, heh heh.

You guys let me know what the status is on shit so far, I'll see what I can do about organizing things on my end. PZ

Hey guys,

I just now checked this thread. I always forget about the shmupmeet forum. I can't say for sure right now if I can make it this time or not. It definitely sounds like fun though. I've also begun to seriously consider selling MMP as I rarely play it. On top of that I quit my job (Niceeeee!) and have begun freebasing heroin quite regularly which as some of you may know can become an expensive hobby.
