Shoot and bomb PCB's

Post by neorichieb1971 »

Call me old fashioned, but I don't like gimmicky play like that of Galuda. I actually like the old school approach of ESP ra.de.

One button for shooting and one for bombing. I like ESP ra.de, Strikers, Raiden.. But was hoping something a little more artistic/technically more superior was out there to wet my appetites.

At the moment I have Ibara, ESP Ra.de, DDP and Battle Bakraid. Looking for more of that stuff.

Viper Phase 1 looks good. I had Batrider, but couldn't get my eye's round the candy. Do any of the Toaplan games qualify here?

Cheers my dears.

ESP Rade has two different buttons for two different attacks, plus an unconventional charging bomb!

Thunder Dragon 2. There's scoring in killing each wave as fast as possible so the next will appear (like Dangun), but otherwise it's pretty simple.

Oh, fancier art? Dunno, Mushi original mode?

Mushi 1 and 2 have a shot and bomb button, pretty standard. MMP has 2 shot buttons and a bomb button. DDP has a shot and bomb also.
Damn Tim, you know there are quite a few Americans out there who still lives in tents due to this shitty economy, and you're dropping loads on a single game which only last 20 min. Do you think it's fair? How much did you spend this time?

toaplan's good just shoot and bomb . you have to do streetfighter style hadoukens in batsugun which is just bizarre to be honest.eye candy is good but not shiny like cave games.
i like
batsoooooogunnnnnnnnnn
twin cobra
tatsujin/truxton

not too keen on the checkpoint ones .v-v and dogyunn would be awesome if it weren't for that

you are correct...galuda and esprade have the same number of buttons, unless you use the 4th button for fullauto in galuda.....but default is 3 buttons

Even the 1987 Konami's A-Jax/Typhoon PCB has a three button setup. ^_~

I don't mind 3 buttons as long as the 3rd button isn't a main button to press. In ESP ra.de I use it, but its not that common. Its when things get frantic and you have a 3 or 4 button system, I usually die due to not thinking of the correct button to press in time. Or dying, then saying to myself "oh, I could have done such and such in that situation"
