The Yabause Team has finally released their own version of Yabause for the Sony PSP. Yabause is a Sega Saturn emulator under GNU GPL that currently runs on FreeBSD, GNU/Linux, Mac OS X, Windows, Dreamcast, PSP and Wii.

You can now test and download this version via the link below. For more info about the release, please read the README provided.
WOW :)

I don't see how this could work out well, but I really hope it does.

Perfect Saturn emulation on the PSP will never happen.

Yeah, I can't imagine it will actually work well, but that's pretty cool nonetheless.

With a horrifyingly large amount of hacks, anything is possible. Think UltraHLE -- Saturn version. [of course, this will never happen, but it's nice to dream...]

Either way, this is cool.

Does anyone know how fast it runs?
Come check out my website, I guess. Random stuff I've worked on over the last two decades.

The sad thing is this will probably be able to emulate Taroumaru better than what my shitty PC from 2004 does.

It took them years to get good SNES emulation on the PSP though, especially with the Mode7 stuff. And I can't really think of a single Saturn game I'd want to play on my PSP even if it was fully emulated right now. Tokimeki Memorial?

I'd like Garegga on my psp, though I doubt it will work good enough to play.

Hopefully they'll get some speed hacks in there sometime. Elevator Action Returns on PSP sounds great.

PSP2000 or GTFO? Damn. :(

That's strange, considering that there's a Dreamcast port.

The emulator itself probably won't need much to run but asking it to play a game on the PSP or DC at anything but crawl speed would be a miraculous feat. You need a very good PC to run the thing smoothly.
