Have you tried clean the 56-pin edge Jamma interface to make sure that it is all shiny and super clean? How about the 56-pin interface on the Raiden DX PCB itself, is it super shiny as well?
And have you tried gently flexing the PCB when it is powered up to see if the sound comes back on or not?
Sounds like you'd need to send it to an arcade PCB repair specialist and have it checked out. ^_~

Thanks PCE!
I have a good ending to this...I tried putting the Raidex DX in an old cab and the sound worked fine...so I knew it had to be something to do with my Blast City setup. I tried pulling out the stereo input to the DC's VGA Box and voila, the sound was back. Quite strange that the sound goes when the DC isn't even turned on?
I also noticed that games that did have sound on when stereo input was plugged into VGA box was quieter...and there were some vertical artifacts on the screen when sound was heard.
Now to focus on resolving my dark 15K pictures...
