Hope it works out for everyone. I should be up for it. Hope to bring an Egret II for a triple cab bash! Whoop, whoop!

Just finished speaking with the "boss" (= read wife), and I have a lock on 2nd-4th! I have 2 requests.

1) Muchi Muchi Pork must be present

2) If we can't get MMP, then I will be content with Pink Sweets. I think Mr. Tie has it.

Let's get this going!

Thanks to drboom for the invitation to this a few months back. I wish I could make it. Hopefully you guys can get a DDP DFK 1.5 up there, as drboom showed interest in having mine available.

Should work for me, unless school gets crazy around then for some reason. I don't have much anything special to bring shmupwise, there's some good breweries near me though  .

@ handsome - definately come by. The Castlevania cab is sweet, if I do say so myself. Way harder - you take double the regular damage and have a very tight time limit. In fact, on the stage where you fight Medussa, if you don't run through the stage, you'll be about 10 seconds or so from timing out. Awesome. :)

@ jonny5 - yeah, bring both! We'll have a hori cab set up for Progear and DS (and whatever else). I'd love to get some Mr Driller love happening.

My wife and I will be happy to make attendance again!
We are looking for a place to stay for the weekend as we plan to be in town… for the three days (I'll probably meet up with an old friend for lunch some time that weekend too).

Is there anything that folks would like for me to bring? Please let me know and I will have it together for the meeting.

Thanks again to drboom for putting this together! The last gathering was a blast and we look forward to this upcoming gathering for fellowship with old friends and to make friendship with new folks alike!

If stuminator brings the Feveron skills and t0yrobo brings the good beer (Founders? :)), I'm officially useless. :|

@drboom: Your place is close to the Belmont station, right? I might be getting ahead of myself here (need to talk to the Detroit folks about ride sharing), but if I take the Megabus from Toledo to Chicago it looks like I can just take the L (Brown Line) from Union Station to your place. Is that right?

I might possibly be up for attending. There is something coming up in early October I have to attend but I can't think of it off the top of my head. My PCB list: http://www.arcade-museum.com/members/me ... _id=398833 Obviously some of these have been sold recently, but I haven't had a chance to update this yet. There's also crap that KLOV doesn't have listings for.

Yup, you'll get off about 1 block from my place. Easy peasy.

Pretty close to Wrigley - about four or five blocks. Lots of bars in between. Super easy to get there from O'Hare or Midway (out two major airports).

O'Hare - take the Blue Line from O'Hare to Belmont. Take the 77 bus right outside the station east to Kingsbury street. I'm a block from there.

Midway - take the Orange line into the Loop, transfer to the Red Line and take it to Belmont. I'm a block west of the station. Super easy.

You can use RTA Trip Finder to map different routes as well.

I'll send out my exact addy to all who RSVP in the thread but I don't want to post it for the internets to read, so just use the intersection of Belmont Ave and Kenmore Ave. I'm a block south on Kenmore.

OK - first post in the thread is updated with the flyer of the event with some of the early info. I'm still working on a scoring title. I think I have one I want to do, I'm gonna mull over it for a few days.

drboom wrote:All out of towners are welcome to stay with me. My place should be big enough to accomodate anyone who wants to stay. For those of you looking for Hotels, there is a place right around the corner from my place called the City Suites that's on Belmont. I usually see student types there, so its probably some sort of hostel.
For drboom,
Could you provide some information on this hotel, as in room rates? My wife and I are planning to spend the whole weekend in town, and I don't want to take space from others who would be more worthy and whom had longer travels… but then again, she may want to cut costs and not stay at a hotel *shrug*

Looked at the City Suites Hotel and holy hell, about $215 a night. Not sure why I thought this might be a hostel...:)
You can always use my zip code (60657) and check hotels in the area (hotels.com). There are a ton of hotels in the city and as long as you stay on the Northside (Congress up to Foster) you'll be fine.
If you do want to use the City Suites, I can give you parking passes for the weekend so you can park on the side streets for free.

At that rate, I think the wife says we will sleep on the floor
She will probably check around, but if it is ok, we may end up staying at your home if it is ok…

$215 a night? I could just put that toward a pcb for the meet

Are you bringing the wifey? Please say yes! I don't want to be the only female there again LOL.
It’s almost over. It’s just begun.
